not too indexical, preliminary materials for a text on Nasreen Mohamedi consider writing prompts for thoughts on NM (fig 1.) but what is the form? Diary? if I hadn’t been in this space between before I met you and all the hedged items returned to a question now I have to collect all the things you haven’t or aren’t to me yet

I have been thinking about The Body and how I want to be rid of it. The Absent Center Not Home I’ll spray paper with blood so I can try to find it so I can discover how it was never there rather an Idea caught discovering itself within the empty canvass of Existence

Notes on living without a mirror for several months in 2012: The year I broke my foot, I was such a beautiful mess. The mirror, lifted from somewhere by my first love, shattered when if fell off my dresser. I just left it back there. I got ready every following day in darkness, I avoided my reflection in the bathroom. I hadn’t cut my hair in months and I didn’t shower enough. I would slick my hair back with water and let it unfurl on the way to class, in the winter it would freeze and I would crack the ice in class. It was a perfect mirror.
