FREE MEDICAL SERVICES Kuya Daniel’s plea expressing the difference it would make if doctors lent their expertise to the poor for just one day pulled on the heartstrings of many from the medical industry. This gave rise to ‘Clinic ni Kuya’ where consultations and other services (even an ambulance for emergencies) can be availed for free, from pediatrics and general medicine to optometry and dental. They also travel on medical missions to far-flung provinces to give indigents better health care access.
MASS BLOOD DONATION With the belief that blood helps save lives, UNTV joins forces with the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) and the Ang Dating Daan group in quarterly blood donation drives. These efforts to give blood to the local Red Cross were recognized by the Department of Health and PNRC for generating massive amounts of blood bags in a day.
