Highlighting Earth Enhancement compounds as per IEC 62561-7 Earth Enhancement Compound is the most acceptable mixture for an Earthing installation till date. When an Earthing set up is done, the pit is made to fill by an earth enhancing compounded surrounding our conductor. These compounds are inherent to lower down the resistivity of the soil and give rise to safe dissipation of the fault current without any harm to personnel and property.

Earth Enhancement Compounds are available with tags of JAM FILL or JAM PLUS, which in general is supplied with the Copper Bonded Rods and the entire Earthing System Accessories. The quantity of bags depends on the dimensions or number of earthing to be made for a proper earthing arrangement. The compound is natural and eco-friendly in nature. It does not leach out with time like salt and

 Sulfur test  This test is doe to detect a measurable amount of sulfur in the compound. If an earthing enhancement material contains a significant amount of sulfur, it can easily devastate our whole earthing grid due to its corrosive nature. IEC 62561-7 requires that sulfur content should be too less to not to effect the soil quality.  Corrosion Test  This test states the obvious requirement that earthing enhancement materials that are being used to lower down the resistivity of the soil must not give rise to any sort of corrosion to the earthing conductor.

 Leaching Test  Leaching test says that the earth enhancing material must be chemically inert to the surrounding soil and must be stable enough that the compounds can mange over physical and chemical composition between the soil and surrounding. It simply does not leach out with time.  Resistivity test  This test is done to determine the resistivity value of the earth enhancement material. The value must be valid enough from the manufacturing point of view. Moreover, all the markings are duly pointed out on the package along with the resistivity value.
