Larsen has good size but lacks speed, quickness, and great athletic ability. Larsen is married with a son. He spent the 2003 and 2004 seasons on a church mission in Chile. He returned to Arizona the spring of ’05, but suffered a torn ACL which required surgery. Larsen has been named Academic All PAC 10 on multiple occasions. He is a vocal, take charge leader. A natural run-stuffer, Larsen explodes into the line of scrimmage. He shows excellent read and recognition skills and plays hard on every snap. Larsen struggles in pass coverage, appearing stiff in the hips and uncomfortable in his backpedal. In conclusion, Larsen helped his draft status by being named the Defensive MVP of the East-West Shrine Game. A mature, blue-collar type player who will at the very least contribute on special teams, Larsen will also be an asset in the locker room. It will be difficult to keep him out of a lineup.

Hall’s lack of ideal size and speed are his primary drawbacks. A fiery team leader, Hall relies on his instincts and sound play diagnosis to make plays. He missed four games during the 2007 season after breaking his forearm against Clemsonand suffered a knee injury during a team beach outing leading up to the Orange Bowl, but he returned to action in time for the game. Hall led his team in tackles for 2006. He has a low center of gravity which affords him great balance and the ability to fight off blockers. An aggressive tackler, Hall is capable of delivering big hits. He lacks the range to be effective in pass coverage and struggles to disengage from blockers in the running game. In conclusion, Hall will not be an every down player at the next level because of his lack of speed, but he should be a solid situational run stuffer.

Leman lacks great speed and range; in addition, he is stiff in the hips. He possesses great character and leadership; his father is a pastor. Leman graduated in August 2006 with a degree in Speech Communications; he then enrolled in graduate classes. He is an annual member of the Academic All Big 10. Leman has enjoyed outstanding production with the Illini. Prior to the 2007 season, he had arthroscopic ankle surgery but did not miss any time. Leman plays too upright and does not protect his legs from blockers. He is not effective in coverage or as a pass rusher because of his lack of speed and agility. In conclusion, Leman has good instincts, plays smart, and gives a consistent effort. However, his lack of speed and limited coverage ability will likely make him a role player and special teamer in the pros.
