Full Potential Show Episode 7: Two Keys to Creating Greater Wealth Hello, and welcome to the Full Potential Show. I’m James Rick. This is your number one, non-boring source for personal development. Today we’re going to talk about how to create more wealth in your life. I’ve got 2 key strategies for you for creating greater wealth in your life. But first, let’s define wealth. Is wealth gobs of money? Riches beyond your wildest dreams? A harem of beautiful, naked women waiting by the poolside? Or naked men? Whatever? Is that wealth? No, that’s riches…that’s money. Wealth is about freedom, it’s about lifestyle, it’s about options, it’s about empowerment. Can you be wealthy and rich? Yes. Could you be poor and wealthy? Hmmm…possibly. There is a certain amount of money that is required in order to be wealthy, and that is what we’re going to talk about today in more of a financial sense so that you can create wealth in other areas of your life. Because, you know what? It’s hard to be physically wealthy. You know, physically fit and healthy. Or to be mentally wealthy - which is at peace or without stress. Or spiritually wealthy - which is having the ability to focus and meditate on a higher power when you can’t pay the bills, when there’re leaks in the roof, when the creditors are threatening to take over your home. It’s hard to do those things. Financial wealth is really going to, as you already know, make your life better in so many other areas. But I wanted to point out that it’s not just about the money. Wealth is really about freedom, options and empowerment in many other areas of your life. That is going to be the trickle-down effect of being financially wealthy.

Now, let’s talk about what are those 2 key strategies? I know that you’re sitting on the edge of your seat right now because I’m about to share with you some principles that are going to change your life forever. Two things, this is the secret to wealth, are you ready?

One: Frugality… Hating waste… Wasting not. Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart, the richest corporation in the world right now, was fond of saying, that “through controlling your expenses, you will always find a competitive advantage.” Benjamin Franklin, in Poor Richard’s Almanac, almost 200 years old, yes, not Benjamin Franklin, the almanac. Benjamin Franklin is gone now, he can’t live to be 200 years old even though he was a very smart man . Benjamin Franklin also was very adamant about not wasting. We’re going to talk about some ways in the next episode to be frugal and to live a lifestyle that doesn’t mean living like a cheap ass, but it does mean preserving your resources so that you can do the second strategy that I’m about to talk about and that is leverage.

Two: Having more leverage in your life, both in the form of the finances that you’re able to preserve through living frugal, but then also, what you’re able to invest those resources into to create greater and greater leverage in your life. This is it. These are the secrets to living a wealthier life. You know what? So many people fall down and fail on the first one that they never even get to the second one. Instant gratification and lack of discipline are the two biggest reasons why people fail. The third reason is ego. You know, I have a saying that I’m fond of repeating – “The ego is an expensive thing to maintain.” It’s the most expensive thing that you’ll ever own. If you’re not being frugal, it’s for one of these three reasons. You want instant gratification. You want to show off what you have when you don’t even have it… nice clothes, nice house, nice cars. Or you’re just lacking the discipline to be frugal. If you want to be wealthy, you’re going to need to knock out those three things in order to preserve your capital so that you can invest it into leverage. That’s it for this show. I just wanted to whet your appetite a little bit about being frugal and creating more leverage in your life. In the next episode, we’re going to talk about how you can do some of these things to create greater and greater wealth that is going to change your life forever in every way. I’m James Rick, this is the Full Potential Show. wealth and abundance than you ever thought possible? Write those down, think about ways that you can apply those in your own life and in the next episode, we’re going to talk more specifically about how you can do these things and really make a difference in your life and in the lives of so many people that you’re going to touch. I’ll see you on the next episode of Full Potential, your number one, non-boring source for personal development.
