Christ 1 s t Q u a rt er 2011
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Texas Motor Speedway November 3-7, 2011 As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association, the biggest door of opportunity we’ve ever experienced has just opened! We have reached an agreement with Texas Motor Speedway to provide Christ-centered familyfriendly entertainment during race weekend in November. A number of tracks have already contacted us regarding future events and there is a possibility of five races for the 2012 season. I need your prayers like never before! The Gospel never changes but we need to continually look for new ways to deliver the message of the cross to a new generation. Years ago, Dr. Jerry Farwell taught me the principle of using, “every available means to reach every available person.” He also taught me to use, “bold faith!” The following quote from C.T. Studd describes how I feel as I write this report, “Some like to live within the sound of church or chapel bell but as for me I would rather build a rescue shop within a yard of hell. O, help me not rust out, help me not glide through this life without blowing the trumpet loud and long for my blessed redeemer. At the very least may there be a thanksgiving service in hell when the devil gets news of my
departure from the field of battle.” I truly believe that Victory Weekends could lead to another spiritual awakening! God knows we are desperately in need of an awakening to sweep across this land and I pray He uses this opportunity to do it. Recently, a friend of mine sent me the following quote from John Wesley, “Whenever it has pleased God to work any great work upon earth, He hath stepped more or less out of the common way.” Quite obviously this is not the common way but it is an open door we must walk through. I need your prayers and your support more than ever. What am I asking you to do? 1. Pray daily! 2. Become a Victory Weekend partner. a. For those of you who already support this ministry financially, Thank You! b. If you are not currently partnering with us financially, will you prayerfully consider a monthly gift through the remainder of 2011? Prayerfully, Steve Wingfield, Evangelist
2 Kings 10:15, describes Christian unity. Will you stand with me in battle against the enemy serving our Master with all of our hearts? When he left that place, he met Jehonadab, son of Rechab, who was coming to meet him. Jehu greeted him and asked, “Are you as loyal to me as I am to you?” “I am,” Jehonadab answered. So Jehu said, “If you are, give me your hand.” When he gave Jehu his hand, Jehu helped him up into the chariot.
We know that evangelism is not in the forefront of churches today like it has been in the past. We don’t have evangelistic crusades, we have very few special Sunday focuses on evangelism. We know that the use of the invitation is declining, etc. What is Steve Wingfield going to do about it?
Dr. Elmer Towns, Co-Founder and Dean of the School of Religion, Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA
Steve Wingfield has been faithful to proclaim the ‘Gospel of the grace of God’ to young and old alike here in the U.S. and around the world! Whether Steve is on the golf course with a foursome, at a Rotary Club meeting, or on a platform speaking to thousands, his passion is always the same— to know Christ and to make Him known!

Even with the many mass evangelism events Steve is involved in, he still enjoys and invites opportunities to visit the churches in our region for evangelistic outreaches of any size and scope. These events range from church services to camp meetings. Please contact our office for more information or to invite Steve to be the guest speaker at your next event.
From Philip in Acts 8, who many call the first evangelist, to Steve Wingfield today, the history of personal evangelism continues to change lives. Just as Paul encouraged Timothy to “do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” (2 Timothy 4:5), Steve has been fulfilling his ministry calling for the past quarter century. During this time, he has held major evangelistic events in fifteen states across the USA and traveled to seventeen countries, including Romania, Ireland, Kenya, Canada, Ecuador and Pakistan. When asked what he sees happening with the state of evangelism today, he said, “The Gospel never changes but we need to find new addresses and new ways of communicating the Gospel to others. I am committed to using every available means to bring the Gospel to every available person.” He continued by saying, “People are further from the cross than ever before. When I was in high school, everybody in my senior class at least had an idea of who Christ is. Many teens today have no clue who Christ is. We have a generation that is biblically illiterate. We have to be aware that even young people who attend evangelical churches have lost touch with the church. They don’t feel that the church is relevant
When you are around Steve Wingfield, you do not need a lot of time to realize he is a special man! To be short and clear, Steve is a man of God! I [have known] Steve for over 22 years now; he is one of the very few preachers from North America who preached in Romania during communism! Steve is a man of courage, strong faith and deep passion for the Lord and for people! He continues to be amazed [at] what God did in His life and from that comes the passion for the lost. I have interpreted for Steve many times in Romania, Moldova Republic, Ukraine and Serbia and each time I felt the power of God in his life and his messages! He is a humble man, a great preacher of the Word of God and a winner of the lost! God is doing great things through him; I have seen it with my own eyes in Romania during communism and after! He is one [of] the greatest evangelists of our times and I am blessed to be around him and have him as [a] friend!

to their lives. We have to look for creative ways to recapture them for the cause of the Kingdom.” Steve completed his comments with passion by saying, “I am not discouraged because I know that where sin abounds grace abounds even more. I believe that there will be another great awakening but we cannot have our heads in the sand. The challenge for every ministry is to engage people who can help to equip and send evangelists. The opportunities are still there but they are different than they were just 10 years ago. We have to take advantage of every opportunity and with God as my helper we will do it!” And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 This scripture isn’t a question; it’s a calling. The need for the Word of God becomes greater every day. Are you willing to go forth in His name? The Ministry of Hospitality By Greg Culbertson
How do you describe something that is virtually indescribable? Finding just the right words to adequately explain all that is a Come to the Table Gala can be a real challenge for those who have attended. A Gala is so special and the feelings it evokes so intense that the appropriate adjectives can be hard to come by. We spoke with a few women who have experienced a Gala who graciously offered their thoughts and feelings…
“Awesome experience, I felt loved, accepted, and affirmed. Unforgettable, I felt the touch of God…a tremendous blessing… teaches hospitality in the home.”
“I enjoyed being served in a relaxing atmosphere… I love the Come to the Table book.”
“Very beautiful setting…[it was] a spiritual experience seeing ladies gathered for an inspired time.”
Barb Borntrager, VA
Carol Cole, VA
Priscilla Hostetter, PA
“A Gala blesses women to get out of the house and get served in a meaningful way. It nourishes their sense of beauty. Being with other women to laugh and to share feels special…the ambience and setting blessed my friends...it serves the 5 senses.”
“I felt wonderful, honored, and highly impressed…the Gala was an awesome gathering in a Christian atmosphere… it makes a difference, encourages, and builds self esteem.”
Harriet Steiner, VA
Dawn Martin, VA
Recently, when contacting a friend that made a decision at our Ohio Women’s Gala luncheon, we were informed that she is now home with the Lord. In 2009, a SWEA staff member spoke to her shortly after the event and she said, “I rededicated my life to Christ at the Gala. God has been so good to me!” When asked what she liked most about the event, she said, “It was very rejuvenating to be among the ladies and it really moved my heart. I am thankful I was invited to the Gala by a friend.” This illustration is enough in itself to express the urgency of reaching those around you. Even one day is too long to wait! As noted above, attending a Come to the Table Gala can truly be a life changing experience. Karen Lou Miller of Walnut Creek, Ohio attended a Gala at a very difficult time in her life. At the Gala, Karen found affirmation and hope through a personal prayer from Steve and the rich fellowship of other women. “The Gala was just what I needed at that time in my life. I needed to know that somebody cares enough to reach out for the lost and hurting,” Karen said. The examples above are only some of the many testimonies of spiritual renewal and hope that we hear after a Come to the Table Gala. Prayerfully consider holding a Gala in your community. It will likely be the seed for a harvest of life changing testimonies for the women who live near you. If you would like to know more about the blessings awaiting the ladies in your community from a Come to the Table Gala, please contact Jessica Taylor at (800) 729-2239 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Steve is one person who seriously practices what he preaches. His passion for the lost, for the Lord, and for his friends and family simply leak out in everything he does. Vernon Myers, Chairman Onesimus Ministries, Oxford, PA
I believe Steve Wingfield surely is a man who has “the love of God” in his life. His mission, his vision, and his presence, in preaching the Gospel are everything I was looking for. Carl R. Fretz, Retired Business Professional, Oxford, PA
If ever our world needed lantern wavers of hope in the darkest of hours for humanity, surely that time is now! We desperately need those with beautiful feet to bring the Good News of Jesus to dying generations, yes, those who have been set apart for the express purpose of calling the nations back to their knees in humility, thereby, turning eternal souls from utter unbelief to total trust in Holy God before it’s too late. Who will go for God? Who will He send? The Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association has said for years and are now saying with renewed urgency, “Here we are Lord! Send us!” For the glory of Holy God and for the good of the human race, may they have unprecedented passion in the present and unforgettable favor for the future in calling perishing souls to pure faith like never before. Amen.
