“ the world around me became more and more like science fiction, and this process is speeding up. Future is like pouring rain. It reaches us even before we have time to open the umbrella. ”

Cixin Liu

.

The development of Wuhan city has long been associated with transportaon. Located at the central part of China, it is separated to three towns by Yangzi River. During the hundreds year, finding a way to link the separate towns and creang high efficient transportaon are always the most important aim for people living there. This project aims to talk about how self-driving technology can change the city of Wuhan, if it can create a new life style for this city.

Release parking area By the high availability of self-driving car

Parking area transfer 2018

2050

Create more active community

Parking time VS Driving time

first-floor parking transfer to commercial area

The most direct benefit of self- driving technology for cies is that it can create greater capacity with fewer vehicles. At present, the online car-hailing is very popular in China. However, most of the me drivers are on their way to picking up and dropping off passengers. Even not during the peak hours , these empty cars had to wait for passengers on the road, causing unnecessary traffic. The popularity of self-driving car can solve this problem. With the big data network, the self-driving vehicles can automacally judge the passengers who need to use the car nearby and make arrangements for the route, which can improve the efficiency. When there are no requirement, self-driving cars can be docked in the nearby comprehensive stop staon, which effecvely avoids the phenomenon of “empty cars waing for passengers” and greatly reduces the need for motor vehicles in the city

FUTURE? Worli, the only one fishery community whose land has not been developed. This community has its own rich history and culture, however, the poverty problem has long been disturbing people living there, how to balance the relaonship between development and tradion preservaon is a tricky problem for both government and residenal people.

Anaya, a ordinary fisherman’s wife who had never received educaon. Her family income was Ten thousand rupees a year, barely enough to live on. However,in recent years, as a large amount of foreign fishermen entered the area to compete with local market, the non-educaon Anaya became quite passive. Besides, frequent natural disaster and declining fish product had reduced the income of the Anaya family year by year.

Phase Ⅱ

Phase Ⅲ

Since 2018, the government has launched a program that Anaya along with other fisherman women, takes three evening classes a week to learn the basics of compung and spelling. While her 16-year-old son got a part-me job, working with volunteers to clean up beach liers and set up trash interceptors.

Anaya’s lile son became a part of worker for the local garbage collecon staon which had provided many work chances for local youths, and Anaya had learned basic compung and spelling, advantage in everyday market compeon. She had become more astute, good at dealing with people, Anaya found that their family life was geng beer and beer. And the environment had also become very beauful, with a large amount of tourists vising during the tradional fesval every year.

Phase Ⅳ With the development of tourism industry, Anaya had found business opportunies. She took out her savings and transformed her house into a hostel, providing accommodaon for visitors and selling the fish her husband caught directly in the shop. 2. Garbage recycle Floating waterbreak solution

1. Garbage Collection Mangrove forest & Garbage network At present, the coastleline in Koliwada is bare and lacking of plants coverage, A large amount of floang gabarage accumulate there with the seasonal wind.

Present Condion

At the first stage, a garbage Intercept network will install in the shoal, used to catch the floang garbarage from the sea. At the same me, mangrove forest will be planted, in order to form the Protecve forest belt to protect worli against the aack of meteorological disaster Stage One

At the second stage, the mangrove forest would have matured At this me, the arficial garbarage intercept network can be removed, the pole remained can work as the bird brench to aract sea birds dock. Stage Two

Accroding to the research about the ingredient of floang garbage, more than 90% of the garbage is polymeric material, which has good floatage ability. Therefore, aer being heigh-temperature pressed.these garbage will form small cubes, which are the centre of basic floang module. Finally, these cubes will be covered by PE coverage and used to set-up floang docks.
