The interconnection of volumes is tried between spaces of different function and micro apartments. The shared volumes of Double height and Courtyard create a nodal point among spaces. The office space on the ground floor is given a double volume as an extension of the fresco wall in the cafeteria above. This gives a glimpse of the heritage of haveli

The site is situated on a corner of the main road. To achieve maximum north light and wind penetration in certain spaces, the built form is orientated at an angle. The existing tree becomes a nodal point for all other spaces surrounding it 8

Program : Centre for Applied Research Client : Architect,Industrial Designer, NGO worker,Public Site : Opp Cept University Area : 350 sqm Time : 14 weeks

Interaction of Natural light with volumes

Learning : Space Planning and Concept Development from Architectural to elemental scale How : The studio was intended to learn space planning and spatial characteristics in space. The program of the studio was to design a centre for Applied research, which had basic functions of an institute such as,a design space, workshop and an exhibition area. The centre was functioned by three

Learning : Workspace attributes and its addressing its concerns, Innovative Material Exploration,Dynamic function of space by day and night Story of the Project - Redefining the workspace environment Given site was the Northern bay of upcoming Cept Workshops.Program given was Cept Outreach for day time.for Night Activity,Program chosen was a “Performance Podium”. The intent of the studio was to transform workspace into another function at night.”Mystery” as a concept was introduced along with Translucent Concrete as material concept.

Ramp was introduced to disect the entire space spatially.Exhibition space and Retail shop functioned on the ramp and office, training centre on side of the ramp. The gradual changing curved roof guided to the idea of ramp, which created a non static user experience.Certain penetrations help create indirect visual,non-physical connection between any two spaces.
