General Tire Vegas to Reno is the longest point-to-point off-road race in the United States. At over 500 miles, the annual trek through the Nevada desert attracts many of the sport’s top racers in car, truck, and UTV divisions, and often produces exciting battles to the finish. On top of the distance, the grueling August heat makes this one of the sport’s most challenging races to win.

JIM BEAVER BACK BEHIND THE WHEEL AT GENERAL TIRE VEGAS TO RENO PARKER, AZ (August 13, 2019) –– Jim Beaver, professional off-road racer and host of the Down & Dirty Show Powered By Polaris RZR, will return to racing action this Friday for the 2019 edition of General Tire Vegas to Reno. The longest point-to-point off-road race in the United States will see teams compete over more than 500 miles of desert terrain, each battling for the honor of being the first to reach the finish line in Reno. “General Tire Vegas to Reno is always a special event in the off-road season, and it’s even more special for me as a General Tire athlete,” said Jim Beaver. “Over the past year, we’ve worked hard on wringing more speed out of our Polaris RZR to keep up with the rapidly increasing pace of the UTV Turbo class, and we’re excited to show off our improvements yet again this weekend. We’ve got the speed to run up front, and we’re looking forward to putting it all together this weekend.” 2019 has been a huge year for Beaver, both behind the wheel and behind the microphone. He’s competed in both the Trick Truck and UTV Turbo classes in Best in the Desert competition, as well as launching a third weekly show, the 4 Wheel Parts Down & Dirty Show Off-Road Edition Powered By Polaris RZR, to complement the Down & Dirty Show and Project Action on PodcastOne. In addition, Jim Beaver eSports was launched over the summer as an entry in the eNASCAR PEAK Antifreeze iRacing Series, and the team made its national television debut on NBCSN in July with a live race on NASCAR America. Beaver will once again partner with navigator James Hill of IMG Motorsports, who built the race car, to race the #915 Vision Wheel/General Tire Polaris RZR this week, while Trent Beaver and Bryant Shontz will also team up in the cockpit. Beaver and company have showcased strong speed all season long, running toward the front of the field in most of the races they’ve entered while continuing to develop and refine the car. In addition to this week’s racing efforts, stay tuned for new episodes of the Down & Dirty Show Powered By Polaris RZR, 4 Wheel Parts Down & Dirty Show Off-Road Edition Powered By Polaris RZR, and Project Action, as well as full coverage of General Tire Vegas to Reno and all of this week’s action motorsports events on DownAndDirtyShow.com. Jim Beaver Motorsports is supported by Polaris RZR, Vision Wheel, General Tire, 4 Wheel Parts, DirtFish Rally School, Gibson Performance Exhaust, Impact, Assault Industries, My Medic, SuperATV, Pro Armor, HCR Racing, Rigid Industries, iRacing, Queen Racing, and IMG Motorsports.
