the Arts (August 18). A laundry list of great talent is planned for the Pink Garter Theatre, located across from the Wort Hotel on Broadway. The red-velvety walled room will stage 7 Walkers featuring Bill Kreutzman & Papa Mali (June 19), Pimps of Joytime (June 22), Paper Bird (June 30), B-Side Players (July 7), Beats Antique (July 11), JHME presents Brother Ali (July 12), The Band of Heathens (July 20), Diego’s Umbrella (July 26), Cave Singers (July 27), Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit (Aug. 3), Heartless Bastards (Aug. 7), and T-Bird and the Breaks (Aug. 26). As for free, outdoor, familystyle concerts in Jackson Hole, there’s a lot to choose from! JH Weekly, among others, will be sponsoring the inaugural JackonHoleLIVE! The concert series will host six shows on various days of the week, June through August, at Snow King Ball Park in town. Confirmed acts include The Dunwells (June 23), Boom Chick with The Miller Sisters (July 7), Justin Townes Earle (July 25), Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds (July 18), The Features (Aug. 8), Robert Randolph & The Family Band (Aug. 26). “We’ve gone to a flexible schedule to accommodate everyone’s busy summer schedules,” said Shannon McCormick, an organizer of the series. “We have done our best to avoid conflicts with other music events and are excited to bring free live music to town.” Also free, outside, and family-friendly is a great weekly standby of national talent that will perform on Sundays at Concerts on the Commons in Teton Village. So

far, the lineup will include The Black Lillies (July 22), Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers (July 29), and Silent Comedy (August 5). Spearheaded in 1962, the Grand Teton Music Festival continues to bring some of the world’s finest classical musicians to Teton Village and beyond for a month-long affair. Kicking off the season is the biggest community concert of the year, 4th of July’s Music in the Hole celebration, featuring the Festival Orchestra as well as local acts at Alpine Field. Weekly offerings continue thereafter through August 18 and are sectioned by weekdays: Tuesdays are Inside the Music, Wednesdays feature Spotlight Concerts, Thursdays are Musician’s Choice, and Fridays and Saturdays feature the Festival Orchestra at Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village. As for the bar venue, there is a killer mix of national, regional and local shows planned for Town Square Tavern, The Granary, Q Roadhouse and the Silver Dollar Bar. June at the Silver Dollar Bar has taken shape with PTO (June 2223), Leo Rondeau & Dynamite Tales (June 2930), Bluegrass Tuesdays every week with One Ton Pig, and first Thursdays Jazz throughout the season with Jason Fritts Ensemble. Production company 307 Live has much in store for Town Square Tavern’s stage, including Nappy Roots (June 21), Outlaw Nation (June 24), Biomecca (July 2), DJ Logic (July 6), Andy Frasco & The UN (July 7), The White Buffalo (July 10), The Trishas (July

24), Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band (July 27), Billy Franklin’s NOLA Live (July 28), Smooth Money Gesture (July 31), and The Damn Quails (Aug. 7). 307 is also host of the 7th Annual JH Crawfish Boil at Cutty’s, which will bring The Stooges Brass Band (June 23). Q Roadhouse has an inviting deck which will stage local residents including Screen Door Porch every other Sunday, Random Canyon Growlers on Wednesdays, and Thursdays with One Ton Pig. The Granary is a hot spot for jazz on Fridays (trios) and Saturdays (solo piano). Also keep an eye out for show announcements for the Mangy Moose Saloon in Teton Village, Knotty Pine in Victor, and Alpine Wines in Driggs. While this is a lot to wrap your music-loving head around, this feature only scratches the surface.
