“The destiny of Jackson’s Hole is as a playground, typical of the west, for the education and enjoyment of the Nation, as a whole.”

~ John D. Rockefeller

Awaken Your Inner-Spirit! Wyoming has an inherent appeal in the winter with its magnificent winter scenes, distinguishing wildlife and abundance of outdoor activities. This

holds true not only for Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks but for all wilderness areas and small towns scattered throughout the state.

Jackson Hole is the gateway to the south of our national parks and like

any other town in the state, you can expect to feel welcomed like family. Enjoy

fine dining, diverse cultural activities, word-class downhill skiing and snowboarding, groomed cross country trails, dog sled tours, pristine snowshoe hikes, guided snowmobile and snowcat tours and wildlife tours.

With luck and a sharp eye, you might spot elk, moose, bighorn sheep or buffalo against the back-drop of white snow and bright blue skies. After a

day in the elements and at high altitude, a crackling fire in a log cabin or lodge will be a welcoming sight.

The Wyoming Office of Tourism encourages you to elicit the hospitality and information provided by our Jackson Hole partners. We also assist in planning and hosting press trips and want to extend our services, providing

statewide story ideas, high resolution images and high-definition video to round-off your multimedia story. Be our guest. Tell a great story. Visit

The Bistro menu combines classic French bistro favorites with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and products and features the only raw Oyster Bar in town, serving fresh oysters on the half shell, tuna tartare and oyster shooters.

There is no place like Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Some mountains have more lifts, and plenty others have more people, but no other mountain on the planet matches massive terrain, with abundant snowfall and room to maneuver more completely than Jackson Hole. Located in the heart of the iconic Teton Range, adjacent to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, Jackson Hole is surrounded by 97% public land—it’s the serenity of being immersed in the best protected and most celebrated landscape of the American West, buried under an average of over 450” of annual snowfall. The Aerial Tram leading from Teton Village to the summit of Rendezvous Mountain is the centerpiece of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and a global icon of big mountain skiing. At over 4100 vertical feet, the Aerial Tram represents the biggest continuous vertical rise in the country. Yet for families and intermediate skiers, the Bridger Gondola is Jackson’s best kept secret, providing a lifetime of wide open cruising, gentle powder slopes and widely spaced trees. Jackson Hole’s Kids’ Ranch Program specializes in building confidence and skill in the next generation of skiers and riders, instilling a love of the mountains that will last a lifetime. JHMR has long respected the natural beauty and ecological significance of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Jackson Hole is one of only two resorts in the industry to achieve the ISO 14001 certification of its environmental initiatives. This year marks the 5th anniversary of ISO certification, and the occasion to re-evaluate our operations to further reduce our energy usage. Visit

What’s New Offerings BURTON STASH PARKS: IT’S AN ORGANIC TERRAIN PARK This summer, JHMR, in collaboration with Snow Park Technologies, has begun construction of 5 Burton Stash Parks that incorporate natural features and native materials to create ramps, rails and jumps in ‘stashed locations’ across the mountain. These eco-driven Stash Parks enhance the mountain’s natural terrain making Jackson Hole #1 in the US for creative riding. Take it from Jake (Burton) “The Woods are the Goods.” Get some at SNOWMAKING AND GROOMING IMPROVEMENTS: WIDE OPEN CRUISING This winter a 25% boost in snowmaking (bigger pipes, more power, and new acreage) means more terrain open earlier, and in better shape longer. We are also adding a new winchcat, which will ensure better corduroy than ever before. Press Contact: Zahan Billimoria Communications Manager, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort 307.739.2704
