Where Luxury Meets Convenience

estinations Hospitality Group, the leader of Kosher Cruises, is the largest tour operator/ hospitality provider in the world. With three Pesach programs in the USA, numerous land tours and multiple Kosher cruises throughout the world, they have the knowledge and experience in creating events that appeal to every taste and style. Honors Haven, our flagship Pesach program has been consistently sold out 6 years running. We boast the largest selection of activities for all ages than any other program. Morning to evening is jam packed with constant entertainment, exercise, games, lectures, and outdoor programs. The scenic view on the premises is unparalleled in the region and lends itself to a breathtaking space to relax and enjoy nature at its finest. Catering is provided by Mark Hametz of Kay Catering, the exclusive at the Jericho Jewish Center. Elegant and fun tea rooms are carefully curated by Jason Farbowitz. Finally, a full day camp for all ages is run by Chana and Yitzy Padower, promising a great time for them and for their parents. Hudson Valley, our newest acquisition promises to be a very special new venture. Now our own location, this full time kosher hotel is available “year round” for events, shabbatons, and groups. A dedicated kosher kitchen and fully stocked shul (mikvah coming shortly) makes this the perfect venue for weekday or weekend events. Located in the heart of the region, the hotel is surrounded by nature and its beauty. Following the Destinations signature “something for everyone all the time” standard, the hotel is currently installing a full kids fun park and renovating its state of the art relaxation spa. The kids fun park will include a large indoor kids jungle gym, bumper cars, and a 45 game arcade room. The spa which is unrivaled in the USA, is modeled after the European cruise spas. It includes the typical wet sauna, dry sauna, and whirlpool. However, it also boasts a Himalayan salt cave, tiled lounge chair room, and other radical spaces to relax and rejuvenate. Our Pesach program will be catered by the team of Executive Chef Chaim Bleich and will

be Non-Gebroks. Our newest project is a budget friendly Orlando Pesach program. Previously Orlando was bank breaking for many consumers, leaving only the option of renting a villa and sharing communal resources (or even cooking yourself). Our program is a top to bottom beginning to end package, just like all our other hotel programs. Hosted in the newly renovated Wyndham Orlando, this program promises our signature experience in sunny

Touring In Israel – Amukah & More Northern Israel presents quite fascinating sites. One of the most interesting is the ancient Talmudic Village of Katzrin where the remains of an ancient Synagogue can be found, as well as various utensils, reconstructing how life was many years ago. Travel over to Amukah, the Kever of Rabbi Yonasan Ben Uziel, and feel the uniqueness while bonding together with so many others who have made their way to daven (pray) at this Holy site. Many incredible stories are connected. A Siddur was left by a female while praying to meet her “bashert” (future husband), only to be returned at a later date by Credit: Wikipedia her future spouse whose intention was to do the mitzvah of hashavas avaida (returning a lost object.) So many tears have been shed along with heartfelt prayers rendered. To mention a personal anecdote of my own: A number of years ago (prior to my coming to this Tzaddik’s Kever) I had been petitioned by a close friend to daven for a shidduch for her son while lighting the Shabbos candles on Friday night. I completely forgot! It slipped my mind; however, as I pulled into Amukah my cell phone rang. These were the days when cell phone calls were prohibitively expensive. Sure enough it was my close friend saying: “I couldn’t find your phone number or I would have left a message on your answering machine, but

all I could find was your cell phone number.” I gently interrupted her unrelated message to respond, “Quick, dear, your son’s full Hebrew name again. We’ve just pulled into Amukah!” He was engaged three months later. From Amukah we travel on to the next spiritual zone of Tzfat. Her physical and spiritual beauty is tied together, making her one of the four Holy cities corresponding to one of the four elements – that of air. (Yerushalayim corresponds to fire, Tiveria to water, and Hevron to earth. We’ll save the beauty of Tzfat for another time. Westbound we stop in Meron (the great Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai’s resting place) where the festivities of Lag B’omer carry us the whole year through. One can see a 3-year-old son receiving his very first haircut as well as the heartfelt tefillos of everyone who comes to the Kever. It’s a gratifying way to end the day before returning to Yerushalayim. Your Pesach Checklist

WHEN YOUR PLANS CALL FOR TRAVEL, By Baruch Lytle HAVE TAKE OFF THE RIGHT WAY! Jewish PressTHEM Staff Writer

Pesach is fast approaching and the list of things to do is endless, especially if you plan to travel. Here is some advice and a helpful tool to make your Pesach travel experience a success. Rabbi Yehoshua Heber is the Rav at Khal Tomchei Torah, also known as the Alumni Minyan, at Yeshiva Torah Vodaas in Kensington, Brooklyn. Here, he offers some guidance for those going away for Pesach. When Traveling To One’s Father’s Home Rabbi Heber: When the person leaves for Yom Tov, he would basically clean his whole house and make bedikat chametz there without a bracha. When he gets to his father’s house, since his father is the one who owns the house, the father would be the one make the bedikat chametz, and the son would never end up making bedikat chametz with a bracha, because when he did it at his own house he did not make a bracha, and at his father’s house he doesn’t have to do it at all. But it is good for him to help out his father, obviously. If a son has a private room in his father’s house, there are those that hold that the son should make a bedikah on that private room. It becomes kind of like his house. Some say he must make a bedikah there and some say he can make a bracha. In my opinion he does not have to make a bedikah at all since it’s ultimately his father’s house. When Traveling To Different Time Zones RH: As a rabbi the first thing I ask people is if they are going to be home for Yom Tov. Time zones are a major issue, because there is a major machlokes [controversy] concerning if you go after where the chametz is located or you go after where the person is for Yom Tov. Certain rabbonim make their sales earlier since people are leaving town, and some rabbonim 22
