DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS
UJA Campaign 2013
WE BELIEVE IN EACH OTHER We believe that no child should go to bed hungry. That every senior has the right to live with dignity. That the future of our Jewish community rests with the youth of today. And that all Jews should be able to live—anywhere in the world—without fear of persecution.
That’s why the London UJA’s Annual Campaign is focused on helping people in need, rescuing people in danger and keeping Jewish life strong. We believe in the power of community. We believe that together we can make the world a better place. And we have the track record to prove it.

Nurturing and sustaining the Jewish community today and for future generations.
CARING FOR THE NEEDY
ABOUT EACH OTHER EVEN THOUGH WE’VE NEVER MET.
The London UJA is committed to helping the Jewish poor. Seniors are among the most vulnerable and during this ongoing economic crisis, more elderly in our community are finding it difficult to make ends meet. In addition, with a growing number of families living below the poverty line and an increase in new immigrants joining our community, more people are turning to the London Jewish Federation for help. Your generous gift will provide: • Nutritious kosher food baskets for families in need. • Access to social services for families requiring crisis counseling or other services. • Job search assistance for new immigrants. • Support for Jews in Eastern Europe and across the world, who cannot afford food, medical care or shelter. • Support to help alleviate the impact of poverty on seniors, children and families in need in Israel. TOGETHER WE HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE AN IMPACT.
WE ENRICH AND CELEBRATE
LIFE The fabric of Jewish life is woven from the strands of our Jewish tradition and culture. London UJA is committed to strengthening Jewish identity through educational and cultural programs that connect Jewish youth with each other, with their heritage and with Israel.
Together we can help forge stronger Jewish identities in our younger generation by: • Connecting them to Israel through various programs including March of the Living and Birthright Israel. • Connecting them to Jewish life by providing valuable programs such as Holocaust education and young leadership development experiences. • Supporting continued Jewish education through the London Community Hebrew Day School, Talmud Torah and Combined Hebrew High. • Partnering with Jewish Campus Services to provide development programs which nurture future Jewish leaders at the University of Western Ontario. TOGETHER WE CAN BUILD FUTURE LEADERS AND STRENGTHEN THE FUTURE OF OUR COMMUNITY.
STRENGTHENING JEWISH IDENTITY AMONG YOUTH
The London UJA is dedicated to our global Jewish community. That is why we are investing in the strength of our people by supporting engaging programs and services that build Jewish identity and enhance Jewish life. Your gift will help us to build Jewish community by: • Providing support for innovative programs that enrich Jewish life and learning such as PJ Library, AJE, the Israel Lecture Series and JEM. • Offering meaningful cultural programming including Purim, Hannukah and Yom Ha’atzmaut celebrations. • Supporting initiatives which combat anti-Semitism, provide advocacy training and teach tolerance in our broader London community. • Offering enhanced educational and settlement opportunities for new immigrants in Israel to help them succeed as Israeli citizens. TOGETHER WE CAN HELP ENSURE THAT WE SUSTAIN OUR JEWISH COMMUNITY FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
