Barbara was shocked when her adult son revealed that he had become addicted to opiate pain killers. He had a graduate degree, a thriving career, and a close bond with his family . Barbara remembered the HAMSA ad in her synagogue bul letin. HAMSA helped her navigate for her son, sta rting with getting him on the phone so he could engage in his own recovery.

“Everyone thought we were nuts to buy a house right on Ponce de Leon Avenue. But it anchors us to an incredible Jewish life. We can walk to Congregation Shearith Israel, to Chabad Intown, and to Jewish Kids Groups, (JKG). We love that we’re able to build such a robust Jewish life with what Intown Atlanta has to offer.”

ELDERLY, VULNERABLE JEWS IN BELARUS.

“When Atlanta Shinshinit Yuval Modan moved into our guest room in October, our entire family fell in love with this poised, mature, and beautiful 18-yearold young woman from Israel . This is Yuval’s first time in the U.S., and her first time away from home, but you’d never know it. She is friendly and adaptable, like a puzzle piece that fits in and completes our family.” – Levy Family
