2022 COMMUNIT Y CAMPAIGN
BUILT FOR THIS
BUILT FOR THIS. Our Jewish Atlanta forefathers and foremothers understood displacement, hardship, and persistence. Some came to our city as professionals. Others came as farmers or small-time merchants. Fueled by faith and fortitude, they went right to work building this community. They channeled their audacity and optimism into citizenship and entrepreneurship. In less than a century they established synagogues, schools, orphanages, and a robust network of caring and cultural organizations. Atlanta Jews formed alliances, ran for civic offices, and became leaders of this city. They built factories, skyscrapers, and subdivisions. They poured their passion into building the state of Israel. Their generosity and vision gave us the infrastructure that strengthens us to this day. So, when the pandemic struck, we were ready. We knew exactly what to do. Our Atlanta matriarchs and patriarchs had set the example. Together, we raised money and raised each other’s spirits. We rolled up our sleeves and went to work for our friends, neighbors, strangers, and all who needed us. Federation was built for this. Your partnership fortifies us and ensures we’re ready, no matter what. SCAN HERE FOR INFORMATION ON HOW TO USE THIS INTERACTIVE BOOK

BUILT FOR THIS
BUILT FOR COMMUNITY. BUILT FOR PHILANTHROPY. IN EARLY 2020 WERE YOU PREPARED FOR COVID-19? ANOTHER ECONOMIC DOWNTURN? BEING ISOL ATED FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY?
FEDERATION WAS READY.
Not because we can see into the future, but because of our past – an exceptional history that prepared us to support, uplift, and protect our community. Being a Community Champion means having the capacity, expertise, and perspective to see the big picture. It is Federation’s job to assess community needs, fill in the gaps, and expand possibilities for all of us. We do it by setting priorities and convening essential partnerships that move Jewish Atlanta forward. Federation is also the home of initiatives that impact our entire Jewish ecosystem. Here are just a few: In a time when acts of antisemitism and hatred have soared, Community-Wide Security enhances the safety of our Jewish community 24/7. Jewish education is a top communal priority. Federation’s Jewish Education Collaborative is working with synagogues and other Jewish education providers to boldly reimagine Jewish education in Atlanta. The Schoenbaum Shinshinim are Israeli high school graduates taking a gap year in Atlanta before their military service. They spend their time teaching about Israeli culture in all corners of our community – schools, synagogues, camps, and community organizations.

SEE HOW FEDERATION STRENGTHENS US IN ATLANTA AND AROUND THE WORLD!
It was magnificent that Jewish Atlanta raised more than $4 million through the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund to address urgent pandemic needs here, in Minsk, and in Israel. But being a Philanthropic Champion is a day in, day out job. Federation was built to raise the funds that support our people and our partners in “ordinary” times too. Our reach and resources are powerful because of your generosity. We can open doors to Jewish education,
help people when they are down, give young families opportunities for Jewish engagement, and ensure that older adults live their best lives. Our forefathers and foremothers taught us what resilience is all about. Because of their strength, because of their commitment, we were ready to meet the challenges of a pandemic year. Because of you, we will always be ready to meet the ongoing and expanding needs of this growing community. Thank you!

HEAR WHY MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY GIVE TO THE PARTNERS FUND.
Our grandparents told us, you have three options with money — spend it, save it, or give it away. And they believed by far that giving it away, if you are able, was the very highest value. During this time in my life, I’m doing all I can to encourage my peers to get involved in philanthropy. It’s our generation’s time to build on and sustain this incredible Atlanta community. EVERYTHING WE’VE ACCOMPLISHED FOR MORE THAN A CENTURY HAS PREPARED US FOR TODAY’S CHALLENGES. THROUGH THE PARTNERS FUND, WE ARE BUILT TO ACCOMPLISH EVEN MORE.
Jewish Atlanta is on a growth spurt. From grandparents moving here to be near their adult children and grandchildren, to young adults launching careers, people are choosing our city and our suburbs. And we are built to serve them because of the Partners Fund. The Partners Fund is the philanthropic bedrock of our remarkable Jewish infrastructure. It enables partners like Jewish Family & Career Services (JF&CS) and Jewish HomeLife to support human needs. It supports The Breman Museum, Hillels of Georgia, the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA), and our Jewish day schools which all celebrate Jewish life, learning, and culture. The Partners Fund ensures that when a child needs counseling, when job loss requires career coaching, or when an aging parent needs extra support at home, our community will be there. Day after day it supports the Jewish organizations that enrich us and make us proud to live here. We have all learned that life is uncertain. You never know when you might need the help of a Federation partner. But know this: every gift to the Partners Fund, no matter what the amount, helps sustain more than 70 essential organizations. No gift you give works harder, or goes further.
