Veterans Day

The Jewish War Veterans KS-MO Post 605 participated in two Veterans Day celebrations. The first was the 18th annual Veterans Day Celebration hosted on Nov. 6 by Black & Veatch and the City of Overland Park. Pictured (left) are Post Commander Howard Noah and patron Julie London. On Veterans Day, JWV was the lead organization for the Veterans Day Program at the Korean War Memorial in Overland Park. Later that day, the group participated in a program at Village Shalom.

Congregation Beth Torah's 6th-9th graders in T.A.G. gathered on Nov. 5 for a lesson on “Famous Jewish People of Notoriety.” Faculty, parents and congregants dressed up as characters and gave short spiels on their famous person's life and contributions to society. The evening concluded with a fire spinning performance from T.A.G. teacher and Director of the Weiner Religious School Sara Glass.
