WEST COURT The purchase of the collegiate buildings of the neighbouring Grade II listed Wesley House, provided the opportunity to create a new court within Jesus College’s historical footprint. The College commissioned Niall McLaughlin Architects to refurbish and sensitively reconfigure the buildings to provide additional facilities and a landscaped court at the heart of the site.
West Court will greatly enhance what Jesus College can offer for conference groups and private events. It will create a home for academic symposia, conferences, lectures and debates, as well as providing a beautiful dining room along with a dedicated events space, a café bar, pavilion with adjoining terraces and a basement bar. The multi-functional lecture hall equipped with the latest communications technology will be able to seat up to 190 delegates. There will also be residential accommodation, available all year round. Jesus College offers a fantastic range of conference and dining facilities. Outside term time delegates using the lecture hall are able to dine in the magnificent College Hall and Upper Hall which combined seat 180 delegates. There are also 250 en-suite bedrooms in Library, North and Chapel Court, all of which have been awarded the Quality in Tourism 5 star accreditation by Visit England, for the fourth year running.
“We are very excited by the opportunities the West Court development will bring in terms of the facilities we can offer. We look forward to seeing the project as it progresses.”
