A zine about the bizarre culture we live in and embrace without question. About those who choose to belong and those who dare to be different. Today in American society we are placed under pressure in all aspects of our lives from the media; telling us who we are and who we should be. Revealing, disturbing and destructive patterns of sameness that control our relationships, our appearance, gender roles and basic human rights. Creating control of difference, the standardization of humankind to satisfy a universal desire for sameness. Individuals have been trying to reach the common American dream, but some where it went
horribly wrong. Purging of millions of lives for beauty, success and true love. Individuality and self-expression is now considered abnormal and treated with a general social disgust. The human race come in all sorts of sizes, shapes and colors. Why dont we embrace our OWN identities rather than trying to recreate what we see in todays media? The abnormal is who have spirit and courage to find their true identities within our troubled society.

People use what they see in the entertainment media as a reference point to fill in the gaps of their own lives. Feeling inadequate and different if they do not adhere to the stereotypes.
Women are continually shown to be subservient, fragile and delicate. Reducing women to a stereotype or even just abody part to sell a product.
