MEET YOUR FIRE DEPARTMENT Hi, my name is Cameron Brewer and I’m from Melissa, TX. I enjoy spending time hunting, fishing, and traveling with my wife, Sonnie. I have been a member of the Celina Fire Department since November of 2018 and am a Firefighter/Paramedic assigned to Station No. 2 on A-Shift. I began my career in the fire service in 2015 when my brother encouraged me to join the Melissa Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter and have loved it ever since. Today I am truly honored to be a part of an amazing organization serving such a great community. Celina is growing rapidly everyday but still holds true to its small town roots. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Celina and I’m excited to be a part of it. Cameron Brewer Firefighter/Paramedic @celinafiredept

MEET YOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT My name is Travus Lemon, and I am an Officer with your Celina Police Department. Aside from my mother spelling my name incorrectly on purpose, here is a little insight into who I am. I was born and raised in a small town in Utah. After High School, I served a 2-year service mission for my church, with most of that time being spent in southern California. After returning home, I married my wife and started school at Brigham Young University. I worked with the family business for a few years, printing and framing Christian artwork. After being married for a few years, my wife and I decided to move to Texas for a better life for our family, and we are very thankful we did. I have always wanted to be a police officer, but wasn’t quite sure how I could ask my family to be a part of it at a time like today. Luckily, I found a city that backs the police and supports us when we need it! I have been married for 3 years, and we have a 1–year old daughter. In my off time, I like to hunt, cook, and eat good food with family and friends! God is good, and I am blessed to be a part of this great city! @celinapolice

THE MILL COMMUNITY CHURCH: GROWING SPIRITUALLY It’s no secret that Celina is growing. But something you might not think about in regards to the growth ... the need for more churches. Spiritual leaders in Celina recognize this truth, and this spring at least one new church will be planted to pour into this community. On this episode of “Life in Celina,” we sat down with Pastor Chad Bailey and his wife, Ryan. They are working along side Frisco Bible Church to plant The Mill Community Church in Celina. During our conversation, Ryan and Chad discuss their journey, they talk about why they chose Celina and they share why they already have a heart for this community. The Mill Community Church is coming to Celina this fall.

MASTER PLAN: ‘ALL ROADS LEAD TO DOWNTOWN’ On this episode of “Life in Celina,” Kim Brawner – assistant city manager – got the chance to talk about one of her passions: Building a city. Not just any city, though. On this episode, Brawner discussed the opportunity to help build Celina, a city that has captured her heart. Brawner was specifically brought on “Life in Celina” to discuss the city’s Downtown Master Plan. She also sings the praises of her colleagues on city staff, talks about what she loves the most about Celina and shares the community’s vision for downtown
