Founded in 1959, the Phoenix Heart Ball is dedicated to supporting the American Heart Association’s mission to build healthier lives, free from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Over the past 52 years, the Phoenix Heart Ball has raised nearly $30 million to support the American Heart Association’s mission. In the Valley, funds raised through the Heart Ball support local heart disease and stroke research; community education initiatives such as the Halle Heart Children’s Museum; and public policy that will improve the heart health of our community. Chairman Lynne Love’s platform for Heart Ball Twenty Twelve includes childhood obesity, and heart disease and stroke research at local research institutions.
