To HR, We want to do fun things. We like to do fun things. If you can make something fun, we will participate. Getting healthy is not fun. It’s tough.
It’s sweaty. It feels like deprivation. Attending work sessions and filling out surveys is not fun. It’s mundane. It’s boring.
It’s time consuming. Recognising others is not fun. It’s polite.
It’s respectful. It’s nice to do. But it’s not ‘fun’. So how do you expect us to be ‘engaged’ at work if what you’re asking us to do is not fun?
Would you get involved? Do you? Give us a reason to get involved, and we’ll be all ears.
