BIRMINGHAM UNIVERSITY ESSAY WRITING 09 01

SUNY College at Oneonta in this video we're going to specifically talk about a use case called quote unquote data quality firewall this is about using the data quality management micro services to provide data quality capabilities at the point of entry within another application specifically we're going to talk about the integration si P is developed with the SI P Business Suite and s4 HANA this integration is enabled by an Abba add-on which is installed into the application and enable the connectivity between the Abba application and the data quality management micro service and enables various enhancements to the user interface as well this integration is supported in sa P ERP specifically ECC s AP CRM master data governance and s for Hana on-premise or in private cloud scenarios the use case is supported our address cleansing and validation as well as geocoding at the point of entry so when somebody creates a new customer or a new supplier and enters an address the address validation process will kick in in this case via the data quality micro service and provide the validation and if enabled append a latitude and longitude as well and store that with a particular entity this album add-on is included with the purchase of data quality management micro services and a couple other things to mention is that this add-on formerly known as data quality management version for sa P if you're looking for the downloads or for the documentation also has been around for about 10 years and works with our si P data services product or if you're running sweet on Hana it also works with s AP Hana smart data quality so the enhancement of this Alba add-on to work with the data quality management micro services is really a new enhancement a couple pieces we're going to talk about with the microservices itself first off obviously there's an API component which is an HTTP based API and that is what is being used with the integration with the ah bop add-on for the suite and optionally when an application integrates the service it can also leverage a web-based user interface that provides some configuration capabilities for address cleansing and geocoding specifically with the integration that sa P is developed with the suite this UI is used to control the configuration settings and the mappings between the address data model and the business suite and the service so we'll see how that works here in a few minutes as well now we want to talk a little bit about connecting to the I'll Bob add-on or the business suite to the data quality management micro service and there's a few things I'm going to touch on not everything in detail first off is how do we configure connectivity between the two to do that we use an HTTP RFC destination so I'll go to transaction SM 59 and under HTTP connections to external server here's the connection that I've currently defined to the micro service and a couple things to note here under technical settings target host is the URL specific to your tenant account for the data quality management micro service and then this is the prefix that will essentially go on the end of that to specifically use the address cleanse endpoint how do I find that URL as part of purchasing data quality management micro services you will get a new tenant on s ap cloud platform that has a subscription enabled to the micro service and so if you log in to the s ap cloud platform cockpit which you'll get a URL when you purchase the solution and then go underneath subscriptions the key thing to look for under subscribed Java applications is an application called dqm micro if you select on that link you will then see the application URLs that you need to specify when using the integration with the a Bob add-on since we use client certificate authentication you have to use the first URL that has the letters CER T for cert in it within your configuration so if we go back to SM 59 you'll see that specifically for my account I also had to define a proxy server in my case that will depend on your environment and then under login and security the key thing here is we're not using something like basic authentication we're specifically using client certificate authentication so there are some extra steps where you'll have to set up the certificates in your net Weaver system and then specify the specific client certificate to send to the Micra service when a request is made the documentation covers the process of then also exporting that certificate from the netweaver system and you have to import that into your tenant account for the data quality management micro service so that the micro service accepts that certificate for authentication to service when called ok we're also going to look then at a few other configuration options so those I'm going to use transaction SM 30 I'm going to maintain first the table FLD q /d q engines now it's possible with the Abba add-on as I mentioned to use this with either our sa P data services product if you're running sweet on Hana with Hana smart data quality or now with the data quality management micro service in order to perform various data quality activities within the business suite in this video we're specifically talking about address cleansing and validation so this table lets you configure a single engine or potentially multiple engines that provide these data quality capabilities with the suite in my case we're saying run all addresses through postal validation using engine DQ AAS which stands for the data quality management micro service however you can also set up multiple engines

some customers for performance reasons and for cost reasons may want to send a set of addresses through either data services or HANA that they're running with their own premise suite and then send other countries to the clouds the micro service for processing that's completely possible here by adding multiple entries to this table and you can specify additional engines and here what you see in the list is the DQ as DQ AAS for the micro service D S stands for data services and Hana task is if you're running sweet on Hana so here on a country-by-country basis that's the first column CTR you can specify to run the postal validation for certain countries through one engine versus another essentially creating a hybrid scenario to optimize performance and cost next I want to take a look at table DQ a AF CFG these are some additional configuration settings I'm just going to touch on a couple here first is the RFC destination so I previously showed an SM 59 configuring that to connect to the outside world we now have to tell the ibop add-on specifically which one to use and then since we're using the data quality management micro service configuration UI we have to specify a specific configuration that we built there to use with the ABAB add-on when processing addresses from the business suite so this is the specific configuration name which you'll see later in the demo that i've already set up right now let's take a look at how this actually works to an end user so I'm in sa Fe master data governance under search for new business partner in this case I'm going to create a new organization and create a change request for supplier just give it a test description now I'm going to enter an address incorrectly us addressing this case and the check button at the top will execute the address validation code and make a call-out to the data quality management micro service in this case we validated the address all the way up into the point of noticing that some secondary address information is missing so really what we're being prompted here for is the fact that there happens to be sweet information at 875 North Michigan Avenue we didn't enter a suite so which one do we want to be part of the address now if you don't want to suggest sweet or secondary information to a customer and just validate the house number in street this can be suppressed so that suggestions for secondary information will not come back let's select this particular entry and now we can see a comparison of the address as we entered it in and the cleanse the validated address as it came back from the service and so in this case you can see the service move the house number two the house number field it appended the secondary information standardize the street information with abbreviations and proper punctuation we appended the city and region and then added the zip force since this is the US address now one thing to note is that this house number supplemental field where the suite information is going isn't on my screen this can of course be configured in MDG to show in hi different address fields in this system i've chosen to specifically hide it so we can see a specific configuration step being set up what I really want is I want that sweet information to be in the street field in this case so I'm going to cancel this and I'm going to go to the micro service configuration UI to change how the data is being populated on the screen normally this can be retrieved within the ASAP clat form cloud cockpit I'm going to open my specific account and go to services and now under services there's a tile called data quality services and in here is a link to the configuration UI for our service if I open that I will see a screen like this and I'll click on the configurations tile by default there are some built-in configurations that the habla baton works with I've copied one of those and created my own custom configuration so I can edit it and make changes as you can see from the name this is the name of the configuration we had in our maintenance table on the ops side to tell the ibop code which configuration to use in the service if I open this configuration there's a lot going on here the first thing I want to call out is the country section this is dictating different mappings in different settings that can be used on a country-by-country basis on the right-hand side there are two columns first we have the model field name this is really the data model or names of the fields within the Business Suite so if you're familiar with the ADRC structure in the business suite you'll notice that these field names match that exactly here we're defining how the content in those fields will map to the service fields or semantic inputs that we have with the service so the service knows what to do with the address that's being processed on the output side we have just the opposite what we're saying here is which service field or output structure from the service do we want to populate into that data model of the business suite and so here we're saying we want the street name one through four content from the service to be populated into the street field in the business suite and down on the left hand side we have different configuration settings that can dictate things like casing or the way that we want to format the street information or the postal code information when the address goes through the cleansing process and we'll see some examples of all of these now as we discussed before what I want to do is change how some of that data is populated in the screen so within the street field I really want to see the street information and the secondary information so I'm going to go under address and here I have an option for street name and secondary address so I'm going to select that to populate that into the street field will leave the house number alone but now I also want to then turn off this mapping where the secondary information was set up to go into the house field to save this configuration will go back to the organization recur and rerun check will be prompted for the suite again select it and now if we look at the after will

see that the house numbers still properly moved but the secondary information is now going into the street field I'll go ahead and accept the validated address and we'll see how it populates that information back in the screen and now we have the secondary information in this case populated in the street field as well let's say we want to change some of the standardization settings of that particular three information so I'll come back in here into Street format and let's say we want to fully spell out all of the street information but abbreviate the secondary address information select this option and hit save back here change part of the address then it reruns the validation shows the before and after and accept the validated address and now we'll see it's fully spelled out the word North's and Avenue but still abbreviated the secondary information so we can very easily change some of the standardization settings for how we want the process to be applied so now what we want to show is how we can customize things on a country-by-country basis if I go back into the configuration screen for the micro Service I want to set up a specific configuration to handle the u.s. a little bit differently so I'm going to add a group for the United States specify which country I want in that group ok it's just the United States now you see a new grouping on the left hand side if I select that grouping you'll see there's no mappings and there's a default set of configuration setup for the United States so I'm going to do is I'm going to clone the settings that I have for the default category to the United States all the input mappings all the output mappings and the settings and ok now you see the mappings appear from default for the US and what I'm gonna do is make some changes so what I want just for example case is the street information or the street field to also include the house number so when I come here I'm going to say put the entire address line into the street field and I'm going to remove the house number mapping for the house number field and save now this is specific to only the United States so if I go back and rerun the US address that I have we'll see now that even though I entered the house number in the house number field we're moving it to the street field and have the entire address in the street field now if I go process another country let's say Germany in this case remove the region city field update the postal code this will be processed with the default category and we'll see now we're still keeping the house number separated in the street information in the street field so you can set these up to be custom to each country have different mappings and have different configuration settings in each case Professional Business College.
