WHAT’S A-HAPPENIN’? Events listed here are not ARound Town events.

What is the ARound Town Network? Founded in 2006, ARound Town is a coalition of local galleries and arts agencies that aims to enhance awareness of the arts in the Cape Girardeau, MO and surrounding communities. In addition to enhancing awareness, we are committed to supporting local galleries and artists, as well as the community-at-large. We encourage the community to patron all the galleries and agencies that we represent, because by doing so, you are helping our local economy. A cooperative feature of our network is the ARound Town Art Walk. This event is designed to increase artist exposure. Local art galleries stay open late on the first Friday of each month. This affords the general populace the opportunity to meet-and-greet with local artists and gallery owners, sample wines and enjoy live music at specific locations, and purchase great works of art. Rack cards that showcase all the galleries in the area are available at many locations throughout the city. Our goal is to educate the community--both children and adults--that there is great pleasure and peace in art making. Many of our galleries provide classes, workshops, and various forms of education that are available to the general public. If you are a local artist or art agency and would like to join our network, please email us at •Rosemary Berkel & Harry L.
