Spring 2010 Activities Schedule This packet contains the schedule for all activities that are available at Trout Lodge this week. A few activities do require an additional fee or advanced sign up, so please check your Trout Lodge Activities Brochure for this information as well as descriptions of each program, age requirements, and more.

The following activities are available almost any time (as indicated) and do not require advanced sign up.

Each night we turn Trout Lodge into a movie theater with fun family movies. 7 pm and 9 pm movies are in meeting room 5.

Country Store The Country Store is the place to sign up for many of your favorite activities, and also offers gifts, toys, souvenirs, snacks, refreshments, ice cream, basic over-the-counter medications, first-aid items and toiletries. Mo-Th:

Memorial Weekend May 28-31 Kick the summer right with a full out Memorial Weekend celebration. Enjoy a live band; partake in some family game fun, set sail on a sailboat and more. You will even enjoy a spectacular fireworks show over the lake. It’s the perfect way to begin your summer with a bang!

it’s a Jungle Out There!!! Friday Night Hike - 9pm Join our staff for a hike through the trees and discover the contrasts between the forest in day and night. Make sure you bring closed toed shoes for the trail and flashlights if possible. Our staff will teach you to use senses other than vision to navigate our short hiking trail. The hike leaves the lobby at 9pm and takes between 30-45 minutes.

Saturday Ultimate Frisbee - 10am Come and check out one of our newest activities at Trout Lodge down on the Activities Field. Ultimate Frisbee is a staff favorite and no matter what your level come down and get involved with this fantastic new program! Reptile Show with Karen Lucy - 7:30pm Come to Hillcrest Hall for a fun, informative and very hands on, reptile show. Karen Lucy brings a collection of her own exotic and amazing reptiles, including; Snakes, Lizards, Turtles, Crocodiles and more. Make sure your you don’t miss out on this experience.


it’s a Jungle Out There!!! All Weekend Nature Centre Friday - 2:00pm to 3:45pm, Saturday - 1:00pm to 2:45pm Join us at the Nature Centre and get introduced to the many different animals we take care of. Snakes, spiders, lizards and more are on display, so come down and learn about our wide variety of creatures up close.

Nature Hikes Friday - 5pm, Saturday - 10am Hike round one of our shorter trails at Trout Lodge with our staff. Learn about the makeup of the forest with trail guides and the corresponding stops on the trail. The hike takes between 30 and 45 minutes and close toed shoes are required. The hikes leave from the 4th floor lobby of Trout Lodge and the trail is gentle enough for the whole family.


How long will it take to walk? Below you will find approximate walking times to different areas at the YMCA of the Ozarks. These are rough estimates for an average walking pace and your walking time may vary depending on your group. Remember, many activities ask you to arrive 5-10 minutes early, so please plan accordingly! Please note: If you choose to drive to the ranch, please do not drive through Camp Lakewood while camp is in session. You may drive around the property on Highway AA. Parking at the ranch is very limited.
