Absences and termtime holidays. If you wish to apply for leave of absence during the school term please note that a form should be completed at least two weeks before the first day of planned absence. We do not encourage termtime holidays.

Medication. For Foundation Stage (FS) and KS1 Inhalers are kept in the children’s classrooms so that they are readily available. It is recommended that by the time children are in KS2 they should be responsible for their own inhalers and know when they need to take them. The Inhaler should be clearly marked with the child’s name and expiry date. If any parents are unhappy about this arrangement please speak to the classteacher and they will arrange to keep them in the classroom. No other medication, not even throat sweets should be in school. If your child is on long term medication which has
been prescribed, please speak to Mrs Jarmin, Mrs Plimsaul or Mrs Simson.

The school council has discussed with the pupils the possibility of having a fence around the rabbit and pond area. This was highlighted during the cold weather when the rabbits tried to ice skate on the pond and the children were worried that they would fall in. The children had also wondered if they could have
juice at lunchtime instead of water. The Gazebo is being used and enjoyed by all the children at breaktimes. The selling of Red Noses is going well and the children are looking forward to their Red Nose lunch and the cake sale on the 13 th March.
