Cash or check payable immediately following the sale and before the removal of any animals unless prior arrangements have been made.

CARE OF BULLS & DELIVERY

Ruda Cattle will keep and feed all bulls until May 1st if you so choose. We will continue to care for them as our own but take no responsibility for loss or injury and recommend you purchase mortality insurance if left in our care. We will assist with delivery or shipping of bulls to the best of our ability.

SEMEN INTEREST

Ruda Cattle will retain 25% semen interest on all bulls sold, meaning if we would like to collect a bull for in herd use we have the option to do so at our expense. The new owner will have full possession and salvage value.

GUARANTEE

We fully guarantee all bulls to be reproductively sound. All two-year-old bulls have passed a breeding soundness exam and all yearlings left in our care will be semen tested before pick up on May 1st. We also guarantee all bulls for the first breeding season. (90 Days after turnout)

Welcome to the first annual bull sale at Ruda Cattle. We have put off having our first bull sale until we felt we had a set of bulls from top to bottom that was complete and that we had full confidence in to go to work for their new owners. We truly feel like this is that set. I think as you look through our set of bulls you will see there is something for everyone. I’d like to make a few points of interest on the bulls. These bulls were developed on a forage-based diet with little grain to ensure the integrity of their feet and legs and promote longevity in their ability to cover cows because we know a bull investment should last for several years, not one. The two-year-old bulls were ran on pasture all summer with no added inputs and we feel you will be pleased when you put them to work. We appreciate your interest and hope you like them. Polled A solid black bull calf might not have been what we were envisioning when we made this mating but sometimes we don’t always know best. My four-year-old likes to tell me all the time that you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit. I might have thrown a little bit of a fit that this one was a bull instead of a heifer and was black instead of red but as of this writing I’m no longer throwing that fit and I’m pretty excited we ended up with a bull. He is an absolute STUD and I have no reservation saying this is the best bull we have ever raised. Lot 1 is impressive from every angle. Not only is he stout made, big bodied and muscular, but he combines this with an outstanding look and presence from the side. Polled Here is another Bet on Red son we are really excited about. If you are looking to add a red baldy herd sire to your operation here is one to take a long look at. He may be the youngest bull in the offering but he has done everything right. He has great big feet and legs with a huge rib cage, I really think this bull can do it all. Not only should he sire really valuable replacement females but he also has the power and muscle to produce fast gaining, heavy weaning feeders. His mother is a really consistent producing daughter of the great Miley Cottontail. Can’t miss here.

Polled Lot 3 is a bull that should find a lot of friends come sale day. This red baldy Broker son is just a good beef bull. His 8 maternal sisters that sold in our bred female sale in December averaged $5,500. His mother has proven what she can do time and time again. I think this bull will do a fantastic job producing those high value replacements you will want to keep forever.

Scurred Here is another dual-purpose baldy bull that is sure to catch your attention. Really attractive made and nice necked but he backs that up with really nice rib shape, a big hip, and plenty of power. The way this one is built I truly believe his calves could do anything from be highly competitive show heifers to fast growing, heavy weaning production cattle. It’s hard to find a bull that can do it all but here he is.

Polled Really nice baldy bull here in lot 9. He is awesome structured and good on his feet and legs. If you check out his pedigree you will find he goes back to the great Forever Lady 5001 Angus cow. His mother is one of our most consistent producers that seems to get it done year in and year out. A maternal sister to lot 9 was a high seller in our 2021 bred female sale going to Triple J. He may be one of the younger bulls in the sale but he will end up being one of the best. Don’t miss out.

He was on a 2nd calver and didn’t grow quite as fast as some of the other bulls but he is built as good as you can ask for. In a couple more months when this bull gets a little more mature you will look pretty smart for owning this one.

Polled Big, stout, masculine are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind when I think of lot 14. He is huge middled and packed full of muscle. His mother is another no miss cow for us that seems to always raise one of our best. If you are looking for a bull that will add mass and width to your calves while keeping them easy doing and docile then pay attention here. Note: he does have a small pink eye scar on one eye but it doesn’t affect his vision.

Polled This bull needs collected. He is that good. This is really one of the best combination bulls in the sale. He has that elite presence and look up through his front end and combines that with huge feet and legs while remaining extremely sound. The mother of lots 12 and 27 has raised these two impressive sons as her first and second calves in her young life. We think she is going to do great things for us. If you want to know how much we think of this bull we used him ourselves last year as a yearling to clean up some of our best cows.

Polled We were short on numbers in our ¾ blood division but not on quality. Lot 28 is a son of the now deseased Mr CCF 20-20 who’s semen is now commanding upwards of $400 a straw. He is long bodied, muscular, and will definitely add value to your calf crop. Lots of longevity on the bottom side of his pedigree.

Polled Lot 31 is a half-blood Simmental but unfortunately his sire doesn’t have DNA registered with the Simmental association so he does sell without registration papers. That doesn’t take away from the quality he possesses. He is a larger framed, longer bodied sire that is sure to add plenty of length and weight to a calf crop.
