W ELCOME Thank you for considering Jen Saner Photography for your wedding day coverage. I always strive to provide the highest quality photography services so your wedding is as perfect as possible. I spend more time than most getting to know what makes my clients unique. I look for ways to tell your story without staging moments. I keep a watchful eye for all of the emotions and special little moments happening around you on your wedding day. A complimentary engagement session is included with every wedding booking for two reasons. The first being that your engagement is a special chapter in your story as a couple, worthy of being celebrated and documented through photographs. Furthermore, the engagement session helps us get to know one another better and allows you to get more comfortable in front of my camera before the big day. I find great joy in forming friendships with my wedding clients and always look forward to having this time together to learn about you as a couple and hear about your wedding plans. Together we’ll work to create an engagement session that is tailored to your style and personalities, and you’ll receive all of the images as high-resolution files to use as you wish.


THE E N G AGE M E N T SE SSION


P L A N N I N G YO UR DAY In the months leading up to your wedding day, we’ll work together to make sure we have a plan in place that will lead to a stress-free photography experience. My passion is to provide my couples with as many beautiful images as possible, however, creative and quality images do take time. By working together we can create a timeline that will let you both enjoy your day and have photographs to remember each and every special moment. To have relaxed formal photographs, I like to have at least 45 minutes with just the bride and groom for some quiet moments that cannot otherwise be captured in the midst of excited guests. I like to have a minimum of 30


minutes for photographing the wedding party and an additional 30 minutes dedicated to family. I recommend making a list of family member combinations for photos and having a representative available to help locate people as needed. This will ensure no important people are missed. Even though I love to receive photo suggestions from my brides and grooms, my experience has taught me that it is best to let most of the wedding day happen organically. When taking this approach I find I am able to capture images of real moments and emotions, many of which will become your favorite photographs.


F. A .Q . 1. Will you be the one who will be photographing my weddings? Yes, I will be your photographer. I also have a large network of local professional photographers that I call upon to assist me as second shooters. 2. Can we meet you before the wedding? Absolutely! I can always find time to meet over coffee or talk with you on the phone. I enjoy connecting with my wedding couples and you’ll find that we are in constant contact during the months leading up to your wedding day and even after as I prepare your final images and albums. 3. Can we get a discount if we do not book an engagement session? Although it is not required, I feel it is important for my couples to have an engagement session so that we can get to know one another and help you feel more relaxed and confident in front of my camera before the wedding day. The engagement session is a complimentary service. If you decline, just know it will not have any value that can be traded or refunded. 4. Will you visit our ceremony/reception location prior to our wedding? If I haven’t photographed at your location in the past I can visit prior to your wedding to scout for the best portrait lighting and locations. 5. Is it possible to go to different locations for photos throughout the day? I do not put a limit on locations. However, I ask that we work together to make sure your list of locations will fit into our timeline and contracted number of hours for the day. 6. How many photos will I receive? I usually average 50-100 photos per each hour of wedding coverage. This number can vary given the scale of the wedding and the number of assistants I have with me. 7. How soon will I receive my photographs? Expect to have your photos back within 4 to 6 weeks. I will provide you with a preview of your images on Facebook and my blog before this though. 8. What can I do with my high-resolution images? The images you receive are edited and formatted for printing at the photo lab of your choice. I’ll provide you with a list of recommended online retailers who can help you create beautiful prints, albums, canvas gallery wraps, stationary products, and other specialty products should you so desire. The digital images are for pesonal use only - for printing, sharing with friends & family, or sharing on social media sites. You cannot sell them or use them for commercial purposes. Copyright ownership of the images remains with Jen Saner Photography who can use them for personal portfolios and marketing purposes.


9. Do you provide printing or album services? Yes, I would be happy to assist you with your print order or album design. I offer a la carte pricing for all of my products including prints, albums, and specialty products and have many samples available for you to view. My album design process is very interactive and open for your input and revisions. 10. Will you edit my photos? All of the photos that you receive will undergo editing by me which includes adjusting the exposure and color balance among other things so that your photographs all have a look and feel that is consistent with my style. I will do a few small spot treatments. All images you choose to order though me for prints or albums will undergo a secondary round of retouching. 11. What equipment do you use? I photograph with all Canon professional-grade camera bodies and lenses. I bring backup equipment and lighting with me to every wedding. 12. How will you be dressed on my wedding day? I dress as if I am a guest to your wedding, wearing modest clothing styled according to the formality of your wedding day. 13. Do you have insurance? Yes, I wouldn’t dream of operating without it! 14. What is needed to secure my wedding date? I require a retainer of $800 and a signed contract to secure your date. The remaining balance will be due 14 days before your wedding date. I prefer a personal check for payment however I do offer the option to pay with a credit card. 15. What is your refund/cancellation policy? The $800 retainer is non-refundable in the event that your wedding is cancelled or you decide you do not need my services. 16. Do you travel? Yes, I love to travel for weddings! I charge travel fees for weddings that are 1-hour or more outside of the Batesville, Indiana area. Depending on the location, I will charge for mileage or travel time, plus any airfare and lodging expenses. Each out of town location requires specific consideration and a custom travel quote will be provided.

ABOU T ME Hello. I am Jen, a photographer with a passion for documenting wedding days and beuatiful unions of families. I find great joy in getting to know the families and couples that I work with and I spend a great deal of time upfront learning about them and discussing how we can capture their true essence. I take inspiration from classic film photography. You will not find much evidence of popular trends, props, or popular photoshop techniques in my work. It’s just not who I am. Instead I strive for a style that is simple and timeless as I try to create something that my clients will treasure and display for years to come. I am a happy wife to Andy and a proud mom to two amazing little girls.  Together we reside in Batesville, Indiana.   I have

been taking pictures as long as I can remember, probably going back to my first pink LeClic camera as a child in the ‘80s.  When not with a camera in my hand you can probably find me picking through flea markets and thrift stores searching for vintage treasures, remodeling our home, baking bread, or trying to perfect my chocolate chip cookie recipe.   More important to me is time spent with my family which may include favorite activities such as camping and taking in the beauty of the outdoors, driving country backroads with no destination in mind, or competing fiercely in board games with the kids.
