Candace Denis Malakoff • Sophomore

The past season was impressive for Conley as a leadoff hitter for the co-district champion Hornets. Conley batted .360 with 42 runs scored, 20 RBI and 12 stolen bases. He also finished the year with a 9-2 record on the mound and a 2.19 earned run average. Conley struck out 79 batters with 18 walks in 13 games. He allowed 35 runs — 21 of them earned in 67 innings of work. He will be heading to East Texas Baptist in the fall.

In her second year in the softball program, Denis was a key player for coach Matt Wittram’s regional quarterfinal squad. Denis battled .515 with 12 home runs, 63 RBI, 20 stolen bases and 41 runs scored on 51 hits this season. She also had a fielding percentage of .984 as the team’s shortstop. Look for her to continue her strong play in the 2015 season.

TVCC Football Skills Camp The 2014 Trinity Valley Community College Cardinal Football Youth Skills Camp is scheduled for June 9-13 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day at the Cardinal Field House and Practice Field. The camp, which will be conducted by the entire TVCC football coaching staff, costs $100 per participant after June 7. Please make checks payable to “Brad Smiley Football Camps.” Any child entering the first grade through the eighth grade is eligible to attend. The camp will include focused instruction for position specific groups on offense and defense. Instruction will be geared toward teaching proper football fundamentals and techniques. Athens Hornet Football Camp The 2014 Athens Hornet Football Camp is scheduled for July 28-30 at Bruce Field. The camp will be conducted by head coach Paul Essary and the Hornet football coaching staff. Cost of the camp is $50 per participant. All campers will receive a T-shirt. Campers in first through sixth grade will work out each day from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Campers from seventh grade to ninth grade will work out from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. If you have any questions, contact the Athens athletic office at 903-677-6992 or 903677-6923.

Mabank Lady Panther Basketball Camp The Mabank Lady Panther Basketball Camp is scheduled for June 16-19 for participants from first grade to ninth grade. Each session will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Mabank High School. Cost of the camp is $60 before June 9, $70 after June 9. If you wish to attend the camp

Mabank Panthers Basketball Camp The 2014 Mabank Panthers Basketball Camp is scheduled for June 23-26 from 1-to-4:30 p.m. at the Mabank High School Gym. The camp will be conducted by head coach Tracy Carter and the Mabank basketball coaching staff. Cost of the camp is $60 per participant if received before June 13 and $70 after June 13. Please make checks payable to Tracy Carter. Any child entering the first grade through the ninth grade is eligible to attend. The camp will focus on individual fundamentals and team play. Mabank Softball Camp The 2014 Mabank Panthers Softball Camp is scheduled for

June 11-13 for 1st through eighth grade students at Mabank High School. The camp will be conducted by head coach Aaryn Rasmussen. The camps are set up for fiftheighth graders from 8-to-10 a.m., followed by first-fourth graders from 10-to-noon. Cost of the camp is $20 per participant for each day or $50 for all three days. Late registration is $25 per day and $60 for all three days. The camp will focus on defense, hitting and pitching. TVCC Basketball Camp The annual Trinity Valley basketball camp is scheduled be conducted June 23-26 at Cardinal Gym on the Athens campus of TVCC. The camps will be from 9-tonoon for grades fifth-throughth12th grade. They will also have a camp for grades kindergarten through fourth grade from 1-to-4 p.m.

Each session will include competitions, contests and leagues with each camper receiving a camp T-shirt and a certificate. The camp will be open to girls and boys grades K-12. The costs of the camp will be $75 for each participant. The coaching staff will include staff members as well as Cardinal players. TVCC Basketball Camp The annual Trinity Valley basketball camp is scheduled be conducted June 9-13 at Cardinal Gym on the Athens campus of TVCC. The costs of the camp will be $75 for each participant. The coaching staff will include staff members as well as Cardinal players.
