Powerful Online Presence

Village is a leader in marketing your home with today’s most current and popular real estate and social media Internet sites. Home sales begin with online presence. The first step is to input your home to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and adding up to 30 color photographs, a comprehensive list of features, and a detailed description of your home. Once your home is on the MLS, Village connects your listing with the leading real estate websites and every major search engine to generate visibility for your home, including the most popular sites — Realtor.com, Trulia, Homefinder, Google Real Estate, Yahoo Real Estate, and Craigslist. In addition, our staff will post your listing on today’s most active social media networks, with links to a customized virtual tour of your property carried on the TourFactory Website. Being Market Ready Preparing Your Home for Sale Your Village Associates agent will assist in helping to prepare your home for sale by conducting a thorough evaluation of your home and property. Based on the evaluation results, your agent may make a number of recommendations to improve the overall curb appeal and presentation of your home for interested buyers. As a rule of thumb, there are a number of basic things a homeowner can do to create the most inviting atmosphere and show the home to its maximum potential: n De-personalize the space by removing an excess of family photos, trophies, posters, teapot collections, stuffed animals, etc. n Clear high traffic areas of excess furnishings to create clean lines n Highlight key features in each room by making sure they are not obscured by plants or furnishings. n Be mindful of the carpeting. If the carpeting is in bad shape, shampoo it or replace it. n Remove all knick-knacks under 10 inches tall to maximize the feeling of space. n Touch up the paint if walls have a few rough spots. Homes that sell are clean, attractive, and present an enticing palette for the home’s next owner.
