SAUGEEN SHORES TRAILS Get out and connect with nature while improving your health with a bit of outdoor activity! Saugeen Shores boasts about 50km of four season, multi-use non-motorized recreational trails and paths for use by those who love to walk, jog, cycle, cross country ski and snowshoe. North Shore Trail, offers 6km of asphalt path along the shoreline from Port Elgin to Southampton. A former CN rail bed was converted into the Saugeen RailTrail, an 8km stone dust trail running through residential and agricultural areas between Southampton and Port Elgin. Gore Drain Trail at the south edge of Port Elgin connects to Rotary Way Trail and then Deer Run Trail; a part of the MacGregor Point Provincial Park trail systems. Other options include the Town Pond Trail, Shipley Trail, Biener’s Bush Trails, Biener’s Ski Trails, Woodland Trail, Copway Trail, The Boardwalk, Fairy Lake Path, North Shore Path, and the Bruce County Rail Trail.
