National Gold Medal for Excellence Award Winner! You’ll Love Our Interpretive Programs!

Our interpretive programs provide environmental and historical awareness and “hands-on” educational experiences for students from Kindergarten through sixth grade. Our park police, historians, and naturalists have experience and educational backgrounds in the areas of natural resource managment, fisheries, and wildlife, biology, ecology, anthropology, outdoor recreation, and education. Key Kansas curricular standards in science, history, and/or geography are shown below each program description. For more information and scheduling, please call (913) 826-2800 .

To provide you quality programming the maximum for most programs, with the exception of school field trips, has been set at 35 students. However special arrangements can be made for classes up to 40, with a $2 charge per student over the maximum.
