At its heart, JCI is all about empowering young people to affect positive change. This month in Cambridge we have done exactly that. Our skydive raised over £1300 for Arthur Rank Hospice after nine members threw themselves out of a plane in August! Well done to all our incredibly brave jumpers and to everyone who sponsored them. We are always trying to add value to our members, whether it’s through the ongoing business training events (don’t miss Derek’s Reilly’s Sex and Networking event on 25/9), or taking you to new obscure pubs (next pub club meet is 18/9 at The Pickerel). September also sees the arrival of membership Impact Week. From 17-23 September all UK JCI chambers will be dedicating a whole week to celebrating our members and the benefits of JCI membership. During this week, you can sign up as a new member and only pay for 10 months instead of 12. We will be celebrating at The Pickerel on the 18th – why not bring a friend? With membership prices the lowest they will be all year, it would be rude not to! We are a members’ organisation so if you have any suggestions or want to get more involved, please just let us know!
