Attended client meetings, site visits and a small install. I helped everyone in the office with their work and got a broad range of tasks. Ordered and picked up samples, created patterns, worked on renderings, floor plans, and picked out furniture options. Input projects into webware, and created purchase orders.
Commercial/Hospitality Runout Brewery + Restaurant Developed the branding for a brewery based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Interviewed a specialest and toured a brewery to learn about the process of making beer and the equipment needed for the process.. This project has a historical precendence of the 1970’s and is shown through furniture and finishing selections with a modern twist. This was a new build attached to my Avid Ski Resort project.
Hospitality Avid Ski Resort Inspired by the 1970’s ski culture, I created a brand new resort in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The building consists of a main level with retail shops, a conference room, gym, yoga studio, a hot tub room, and an outdoor pool and lounge area with fire pits. The hotel offers 5 different room types, 37 rooms total. Runout Brewery is next door and there is a short walk to the gondola for skiing.
Commercial Digestive Health Clinic - IIDA Student Competition Researching healthcare design and digestive health issues helped me create a 9,000 sq. ft. clinic located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Deliverables included a floor plan, furniture plan, reflected ceiling plan, elevations, and renderings. Colors were picked based upon color psychology. I wanted to create a space that was comfortable, yet professional considering the clients of a digestive health clinic.
Residential Beaumont’s at the Burj Khalifa ASID’s National Board Chair-Elect Jennifer Kolstad assigned this project for an international couple who is planning to age in place. The project is more than decorating a high end residence, it is a behavioral science project. When aging in place there are many considerations to be made. Design impacts lives, especially in the home.
