The Jason Parker Quartet re-defines traditional Jazz by bringing fresh interpretations to the time-honored standards of Porter, Gershwin, Davis, Parker (Charlie, that is), Monk, Ellington and more. The JPQ has an extensive repertoire, reflected in lyrical arrangements of the great Jazz standards, as well as original pieces composed by the band. From the ferocious swing of Fly Me To The Moon to the heartbreaking romance of My Funny Valentine; from the down-home blues of Summertime to the bossanova groove of Girl From Ipanema; from the sophisticated soul of Georgia On My Mind to the greasy funk of Watermelon Man, the Jason Parker Quartet perform some of the best-loved songs from all corners of the Jazz library.
Jason’s warm, melodic trumpet is perfectly balanced by the subtle counterpoint of piano and drums, and the deep resonance of the double bass. These four accomplished musicians have a rare unity and their performance is alive with creativity, wit, and passion.

Perfect for all seasons and events, the Jason Parker Quartet can tailor their instrumentation and repertoire to suit the performance. Working with some of Seattle’s finest Jazz talent, the JPQ is in the unique position of being able to offer everything from multiple horns & vocals to simple piano/trumpet duets, should the occasion demand.
The JPQ plays regularly across the Pacific Northwest, and is a perfect fit for intimate clubs, bars and restaurants, while being equally at home in theaters, at weddings, bar/ bat mitzvahs, and private or corporate events.

“My business partner and I threw a celebration party for our customers this year on the Skansonia - about 120 people attended. The JPQ played for us throughout the evening and did a fantastic job! Our party would not have been as successful without their great music. We received a lot of compliments throughout the evening about their performance. You’ll definitely hear from us again!” Johna Beall: The Beall & Black Group. Oct 2004
“The JPQ were wonderful. Complimenting the event perfectly, they created an elegant backdrop to a very special evening” Gov. Gary & Mona Locke, Jan 2005
“They were the perfect band for our wedding reception. Aside from their great music and style, the band was reliable, on-time, respectful, and professional. Considering how hectic everything else can be before a wedding, it was a great comfort to know that the JPQ was something we didn’t have any worries about. We’ll both happily recommend them to anyone we know who’s looking for a jazz band for any occasion. Thanks again!” Ryan and Amy Hicks. Oct 2004
“You guys were excellent and truly made the evening. I could not have thought of a more appropriate band for our event. I wouldn’t hesitate to invite you to play again at any future functions...and will definitely keep you guys in mind if I meet anyone looking for an amazing jazz band to perform at an event.” Shari Neppe: Indu Nair Guild.
