Gaggle Email Allows safe electronic communication for schools and students. Web‐based service for access anywhere with constant filtering and control of student accounts.
Digital Lockers Provide online file storage for students and teachers, with the option of sharing documents and files within the school or district. Files are filtered for appropriate content and accessible from school and home.
Gaggle Blogs Provide a place where students can share their thoughts, ideas, and creativity in a secure environment. Teacher blogs can be shared with parents for easy home‐school communication.
Homework Drop Boxes Provide an organized, paperless alternative for collecting homework assignments. Students can submit assignments anywhere, anytime.
Message Boards Support curriculum and extend learning with ongoing classroom discussions. Teachers can create boards restricted to specified students and classes, with all of Gaggle's filtering in place.
Gaggle Integrated Calendar Individual and shared calendars integrated with Gaggle's email and homework drop boxes.
Parent Accounts Provide accounts for parents to easily communicate with teachers and their own children, but prohibit contact with other students. Parents can access and review their child's email messages, locker files, and blogs.
Gaggle Office Filtered online docs and spreadsheets powered by the award‐winning Zoho office suite. Zoho features online presentations, spreadsheets and word processing with simultaneous editing and group collaboration.
Gaggle SMS Texting Provides safe teacher and student mobile texting, with all incoming and outgoing text messages filtered and logged thru the Gaggle SMS Gateway. By utilizing the Gateway, individual cell numbers are protected with only Gaggle’s number displayed.
Gaggle Social Learning Wall Similar to the most popular social networking experiences providing profile based connections with sharing of content, text, and communication.
GaggleTube: Filtered YouTube access while still allowing your district to block direct access to YouTube content. All YouTube access is logged, filtered, and monitored and can be controlled at the teacher and student level.
Gaggle Mobile A mobile phone compatible version of Gaggle's desktop web applications such as email, blogs and message boards.
Chat Rooms Offer live communication for discussions during classes, school, or after school. Teachers can create rooms restricted to specified students and classes, with all of Gaggle's filtering in place.

MHS Teacher & Student Login Gaggle Website: www.gaggle.net To log in from the MHS website: (http://legacy.mckinneyisd.net/Campuses/school_websites/mhs/) Click the Gaggle Login link located under the Student Essentials section on the main page. Teacher Login: User Name: first initial (period) last name last 3 of staff ID (firstname.lastname@example.org) ¾ Temp password: first name staff ID (sandi123456) Change this once you log in the first time.
Student Login: User Name: first name (period) last name last 3 of student ID (email@example.com) ¾ Temp password: first name student ID (thomas123456)
Note: If you use the custom MHS login page, you do not have to type in @mckinneyschools.net.
Note: If you use the gaggle.net page, you must type in your full user name (your Gaggle email address).

Create and Populate Classes
1. Click the Student Admin link on the bottom left of your screen.
2. Click User List 1
Note: Do not delete students from this top section… that removes them from the Gaggle system. Follow instructions below (Step 7.) to delete students from a class.
3. Click the Classes Tab on the bottom of your screen. 4. Click New Class to create a new class. Give it a name. 5. Click the check box next to the student’s user name on the top portion of the screen to select
them. 6. After you select the students that you want to add to a class, click and drag them into the class folder you created. 7. To Delete a student: 1. click the + sign next to the class name; 2. select the student; 3. click the Delete button (Trash can).

Forward Gaggle Email to your GroupWise Email Account
You may want to have your email, student notifications, etc. from Gaggle automatically sent to your MISD GroupWise email account so that you don’t have to check them both every day. To do this, you will set up a forwarding email address within Gaggle:
1. Click the My Account link at the top right of your screen. 2. Verify that the Basic tab is selected. 3. Scroll down until you can see the “Forwarding Email Address” field. 4. Type in your MISD GroupWise email address.. 5. Click Save. ¾ Now when you receive email or a notification from anything within Gaggle, it will automatically be forwarded to your GroupWise email address.
