CT Innovation Unit Herlev & Gentofte Hospital
Our purpose WHY We dedicate our innovation efforts to ensure patients the most accurate and timely diagnosis. HOW We improve patient care by developing and using advanced diagnostic technologies as well as insistently working with organizational development directly in the clinical settings. WHAT We continuously investigate, analyze and rethink patient progress and our workflow relating to it. We evaluate, develop and introduce advanced radiological technologies. We teach and train colleagues in new principles, workflows and technologies. Why establish a CT Innovation Unit? Advanced health technologies are often developed far from everyday clinical practice and without direct involvement of users or patients. A continuous, targeted innovative public/ private collaboration in the clinical environment supports new effective radical development processes which ensure the focus on patients needs and breakthrough development and test of new technologies, organizational optimized workflows etc.

The first Danish CT Innovation Unit Siemens Healthineers and the Capital Region of Denmark have jointly placed a High-end CT scanner at the Radiological Department at Herlev Hospital in 2013. The A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation for General Purposes
generously donated a new high-end Force CT-scanner in 2016. With the new scanner it is possible for us to take a big step forward in our innovation efforts to provide world leading acute diagnostics for our patients by using the latest CT technology and methods.
