To promote awareness of the Redbud Festival and to recruit volunteers, KDB used several traditional methods including posters, flyers and newspaper print advertisements. Additionally, KDB issued a press release that included information about the event and event sponsors to news outlets. The award-winning TRASHion Fashion Runway Show was once again held at the Redbud Festival, boosting both attendance and promotional coverage.

KDB was excited to branch out to a new advertising arena this year- television! Our Redbud Festival commercial played on seven channels including the Discovery Channel and HGTV and reached 9,000 households! Also, KDB was featured on the CBS morning show, “Plugged In To DFW.”

The online promotion of the Redbud Festival reached new heights this year! We sent 10 email blasts to KDB volunteers and supporters. We utilized our social media platforms (including a NEW Twitter page) and website to advertise the Festival, as well. Information about the Redbud Festival appeared in 14 calendar listings. Our commerical was also delivered online before user-requested content. An added bonus: every time the TRASHion Fashion Show was mentinoed, so were we!
