Air pollution one of todayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s greatest problems in our world. Air pollution is caused by many different objectives in our world such as factories, cars, boilers, etc. Airpollution effects everywhere around the world but the most polluted area in the world today is Delhi (Irfan, 2017). The current causes of pollution in our world today include burning fossil fuels, agricultural activities, exhaust from factories, mining operations, and indoor air pollution. The effects air pollution cause around the world are respiratory and heart problems, global warming, Acid rain, eutrophication, effects on wildlife, and depletion of ozonelayer. (Rinkesh, 2009)

Investigative Question If humans use gasoline then rose population will decrease due to the affect in the atmosphere?

Hypothesis If gas affects the environment, then the rose population will decrease because of change it atmosphere.

Independent Variable:

The independent variable is the smoke that came from a burning match.

Dependent Variable:

The dependent variable is the rose population.

Treatment Group:

- 1 rose - smoke from burned match - water - measure height

Control Group:

- 1 rose - water - measure height

Pre-Data:

Treatment - 15 inches Control - 12 inches

Post-Data:

Treatment - 11 inches Control - 10.25 inches

This is a look of how oil spills will affect plants over time, well in our group maybe if we had a graph for plants that are getting affected by oil spills then it can get worse. The height of the experimental group decreased by 26.7%. For the control group, the height decreased by 14.6%. The difference between both groups were by 25%.

Back to our investigative question “If humans use gasoline then rose population will decrease due to the affect in the atmosphere?” and our hypothesis “If gas affects the environment, then the rose population will decrease because of change it atmosphere.” Our hypothesis was proven correct because the rose from the experimental group started to die. It started becoming dry and lean within the first 3 to 4 days. The trend that I’ve been seeing is how gas has carbon dioxide, which is bad for plants.

Our human impact was using gasoline can harm plants. The plant that we used were roses. They are the producers in their food chain, which is followed by a greenfly, blue tit, and a hawk (Primary Resources, n.d.). If there are no more roses, there won’t be any greenflies. Then then the blue tit population will decrease due to there not being anymore greenflies, and followed by the decrease of the hawk population.

My investigation is very valuable for humans because I know there are some people in the world that are very into gardening. Further investigations I can pursue is that I can see how long will it be until it completely dies. Humans should continue to understand my anthropogenic impact because it is very timely and relevant.
