Concept One Damn Night… New York is ruled by the same, repetitive parties and genre of clubs. The importance of music isn’t as strongly emphasized as say the “being seen” aspect of nightlife. Our goal and aspirations in planning this particular event is to demolish this “being seen” epidemic and turn the night into musical trance, pure freedom and absence of bias. The current New York night life venues do offer young + fresh. We want to keep everything young + fresh, lifeloving + loving-life, just add more focus on visual and audiovisual stimulation via making a thematic concept based around Berlin, Germany. It is about trance, a dream, ecstasy + a psychological aspect of selfishness. GET READY FOR SENSORY OVERLOAD… Forget what you “Look Like” for One Damn Night.

Why are we called BRINGING DOWN THE WALL? We‘re attempting to bring down the barriers, ignite free expression, bring Berlin perspective into a New York Night Club, feel love and produce a lively, new project.

NO HATE CAMPAIGN

* NO H8* Try to get bookings, as a cause/beneficiary/sponsor for the event (Go to LINK for MORE INFO) http://www.noh8campaign.com/ On November 4, 2008 Proposition 8 passed in California,

amending the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. The defeat provoked a groundswell of initiative within the GLBT community at a grassroots level, with many new political and protest organizations being formed in response. “The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska(http://www.bouska.net) and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest.” Example of their next upcoming event: (http://www.noh8campaign.com/event/noh8-campaign-3rd-annualanniversary-celebration) BERLIN NYC UNITE, WORLD UNITY IN THE PARADISE JUNGLE OF ELECTRONIC SOUND AND MUSIC http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/solomun VISUALS, ARTISTS, LAYOUT http://www.antonkandinsky.com/ “Freedom” / Oil on Canvas 30x40in http://www.blackbookmag.com/good-night-mr-lewis-1.109/five-easy-pieces-the-best-nightclubs-in-thehistory-of-new-york-city-1.29804 Inna Ulanova & Jan M. FIVE EASY PIECES: THE BEST NIGHTCLUBS IN THE HISTORY OF NEW YORK CITY By Steve Lewis August 26, 2009

TOP NYC NIGHTCLUBS THAT MADE HISTORY: (excerpts from Steve Lewis’ piece) 1.

Studio 54 (254 West 54th) a. “…it was the type of crowd that we trusted. It was a conglomeration of the best of the entertainment and music business, the fashion world, and the international crowd. Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell produced events that nobody had done before Studio or since Studio." – Carmen D’Allesio (former VIP hostess) Area (157 Hudson) a. “At Area there was no VIP room. If you got past the door staff, you were a VIP. Everyone was hanging together from art and movie stars to sexy yuppies and skanky hos.” – Desmond Cadogan (former employee) The World (254 East 2nd Street) a. “It was a place where Keith Haring was arting up the bathroom stalls and Andy Warhol was calming me down. It was dangerous and smart. It was Caroline Herrera wearing a zillion dollars’ worth of emeralds while project kids popped and spun” – Steve Lewis b. “The true stars of the World’s universe were the club kids and patrons… when they came through the doors, they became anyone they wanted to be.” – Peter Frank Max’s Kansas City (213 Park Ave South) a. “Andy Warhol, Lou Reed, Robert Rauschenberg, Debbie Harry, and the amazing New York Dolls defined New York nightlife.” – Steve Lewis Paradise Garage (84 Kings Street) a. “Paradise Garage was indeed a garage but paradise was never known there until the great Larry Levan showed a disjointed world how to love and support each other...This was his house and he is the legend – the standard bearer for so many. Paradise Garage is like that De Niro character from Awakenings. It was asleep, but suddenly from nowhere rose up and enjoyed a magical period of sound and joy and meaning, on to eventually slip back into a mundane coma.” – Steve Lewis b. “LOVE IS THE MESSAGE.” c. Setlist: “I’m every woman” (Chaka Khan), “Le Freak” (Chic), “You Stepped Into My Life” (Melba Moore), “I Will Survive” (Gloria Gaynor), “Feed the Flame” (Lorraine Johnson)
