BASA French Press Coffee Maker, 34oz Coffee and Tea Makers
This is my second french press, and I like it better than my first one. The thicker handle on this is easier to hold, and it comes with a few extra filters because it’s inevitable that a filter will be damaged, although that doesn’t matter much if you don’t mind extra grounds in your coffee. Two of the filters are installed, and two more are in a bag. It also comes with a coffee grounds scoop and a stir spoon. The box says to remove the handle before removing the beaker, but I haven’t found that necessary because it has the perfect fit to hold the beaker securely while still allowing it to be easily removed. I can also appreciate that it uses borosilicate glass. That is the good type of glass that Pyrex used until 1998 when they got cheap and started using glass that couldn’t stand up to the types of temperature changes often seen in the kitchen.
