Percy Thomas Ball was born in Devonport, Devon 1890 and joined the Royal Navy in 1908, he served in a number of ships including HMS Tenedos, Pembroke, Hecla and Dolphin from 1917, also served during WWI in HMS Pandora and continued his service until 1941, residing in Havelock, Portsmouth (4) £150 - £200

Little, Royal Engineers 1939-1945 Star, France & Germany Star, Defence and War Medals with MID oakleaf, French Croix de Guerre with swords, extremely fine with transmission slip confirming entitlement plus conforming miniature dress awards and related sporting medal dated 1937, a large archive of paperwork and documents relating to the recipients service including Soldier’s Pay Book, 10 Air Ministry aerial reconnaissance photographs, approx. 45 snapshot photographs including a bridge being blown up, another bridge ‘Waterloo and Lambeth Bridges on the Rhine and a German bunker wall painted with bombs and titled ‘gegen England’, plus two of the recipient in uniform, 2 Soldier’s Service Book, Officer’s Record of Service Book, a large book titled Bridging Normandy to Berlin, certificate for the Croix de Guerre dated 3 April 1945, 4 Commando Brigade Walcheren Day 1 November 1945 pamphlet plus a Third Reich Kriegsmarine battle ensign, with clear Kriegsmarine stamps and ‘D Reichskriegett’, 90cm x 164cm, excellent condition and liberated by the recipient
