BOOKSTORE The James Sprunt Community College bookstore is owned and operated by the college for the convenience of students, faculty, and staff. It is operated as a self‐supporting department of the school. College textbooks and supplies are handled at the bookstore under the following policies and procedures: Sales Returns—Sales returns will be made only under the following circumstances: 1. A defective book is sold. 2. A book is sold to the student through error by college personnel. 3. A book is returned within two weeks following registration day.
ALL RETURNED TEXTBOOKS MUST BE IN ORIGINAL CONDITION AND ACCOMPANIED BY A SALES RECEIPT. Upon accepting a sales return, the sales personnel will ascertain whether the book was sold for cash or on a third‐party account. If the book was sold on a third‐party account, credit will be made to the account. If the book was sold for cash, the sales personnel will complete a “Request for Voucher” form, have the student sign the form, and forward the form to the Business Office. The Business Office will issue a check for the refund during the nest regular run of checks. Refunds normally take two to four weeks. STUDENT CENTER AND FOOD SERVICES The James F. Strickland Student Center represents a major commitment to improving student life. The Student Center, dedicated in May 1987, houses the college’s Student Services division, including curriculum Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, and Counseling offices.
