02

Wheelchair Accessible Van Design ¡ 6 Weeks

Our team of 8 was given the task to design the interior of a wheelchair accessible vehicle that will serve customers in a variety of different mobile and fixed scenarios. My specific focus for this project was to design a universal seating unit. 11

Foam core constructed working prototype.

13

Falcon inspired wings and a pad lift system are incorporated into the design for an easy maneuverable entry for wheelchair-bound users. As well as adding an up most coolness factor to a mini van.

The seat is designed to be completely universal. It comfortably seats both disabled and non-disabled drivers with the option to allow disabled drivers to remain in their wheelchairs. This is made possible by a two-part motion that transforms the seat from a traditional driver’s seat to one that allows a wheelchair to be locked into place in front of it.

FORMAL - FIT

This design concept was not designed in affiliation with Nike or any other of its subsidiaries.

The concept of this shoe design is to create a shoe for the avid work-to-gym commuter. In a fast paced society with no time nor space to carry around a spare pair of shoes the Formal-Fit performance shoe is an innovation for this style of urban living.
