increase in revenue and a 21 percent rise in adjusted EBITDA as compared to our prior fiscal year. Our strong revenue growth was driven by successes across our entire platform, including exceptional performance in several ice hockey equipment categories, lacrosse equipment and all sport-related apparel. As a key indication of our position of strength and ability to generate cash flow, we further deleveraged our balance sheet during FY2013 while incurring approximately US$45 million in new debt.
Lacrosse in the United States has experienced an annual growth rate of approximately 10 percent over the last decade, and we have no shortage of exciting products to advance the game. With the Maverik product line fully integrated into our R&D process and Cascade products fitting in seamlessly, our new equipment offering is better than ever. During FY2013 our lacrosse team developed a new full line of Cascade gear designed for women and other important new products, such as the new Maverik A1 shaft with proprietary technologies and the highly-

This strategic acquisition provides us with new capabilities for full team apparel, including the design, development and manufacturing of uniforms for ice hockey, roller hockey, lacrosse, soccer and other team sports. Our retail partners can now rely on us for their complete equipment and team apparel needs across our platform of sports. Our new team apparel business has already found success. Starting with the 2013-14 season, Bauer Hockey is the official provider of uniforms, apparel and equipment for one of Canada’s most presti gious Junior ‘A’ leagues, the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). Since 2000, the BCHL has seen more than 68 players drafted directly to the National Hockey League, and the league is widely known as the No. 1 feeder into U.S. college hockey. competitor inventory, an NHL lockout, retail consolidation and reductions in Canadian import tariffs, the power of the Bauer brand once again took center stage. Consumers continued to demand BAUER products despite significant competitor price reductions because they know we deliver innovation year after year. This is a return on the investments we make every day in developing our elite products and in grassroots campaigns, such as the Bauer Experience, which provides consumers with a chance to try the latest gear and connect with our product experts.
Bauer Hockey Continues to Lead Bauer continues to be the brand of choice by the world’s best hockey players. Just like our equipment, we believe our elite roster of athletes is unrivaled. It includes Alex Ovechkin, who picked up his third MVP trophy this year and led the NHL in scoring, and young stars, such as Patrick Kane, the MVP of the Stanley Cup playoffs. In the five major player equipment categories of skates, sticks, helmets, gloves and pants, Bauer was once again the overwhelming No. 1 brand demanded and worn in the NHL and in the

Our Mission The heart of Bauer Hockey is built around one simple idea – innovation. Whether that innovation is called Vapor or Supreme, the principle is the same: think of something that nobody has thought of before, or improve something that already exists. Bauer is always on the cutting edge. Our Vapor line of hockey equipment has been a market leader since its inception in the mid 90s. We have continued to develop and diversify our products, now offering equipment to specifically tailor to any type of player’s needs. Whether your a grinder or a sniper, we’ve got everything you need. Consumers continue to demand Bauer products despite significant competitor price reduction because they know we deliver innovation year after year. AERO-SENSE blade core enhances performance
The Latest Technology At Bauer, we pride ourselves on staying on the cutting edge of our equipment technologies. The latest installment of our most popular line, the Vapor APX2 is just our most recent example of how we stay ahead of the curve. The technology behind our new line is revolutionary.
The Vapor APX2’s new AERO-SENSE blade core is designed with our improved AERO FOAM 3 core blade technology and a unique energy absorption element to enhance the stick’s playability and performance. This complex combination is lightweight, improving the overall balance of the stick while maintaining torsional stability for a strong and quick release, with increased vibration dampening properties that improve puck feel upon pass reception and when stick handling.
Through advanced engineering, Vapor sticks have been intelligently designed with a dual kick flex profile allowing for maximized performance benefits. Before 2009, Vapor sticks had a low-kick profile that allowed for a quicker release on wrist and snap shots but sometimes lacked power on slap shots. By adding the second, higher kick point, Vapor sticks now have the powerful release for slap shots and one-timers that elite players expect. The combination of Micro-Feel II shaft and a secondary taper along the top and bottom surfaces equals decreased torsional deflection for increased puck control and accuracy upon release.
This new APX2 technology was the most anticipated release in our history and has been a driving force behind our strong sales numbers in FY2013. This is just a small fraction of our expansive and innovative product development that sets us apart from strong competitors like CCM, Reebok, and others.
Feel II shaft and second kick point allow for powerful release
Continued Innovation In addition to our Vapor APX2 line of sticks, we have an extensive line of ice hockey skates that are one of our best selling products. These skates are worn by numerous NHL superstars like Patrick Kane, Alexander Ovechkin and Claude Giroux, and all the way down to your local ice pee wee hockey team. As our top of the line skate, they provide the edge that every player is looking for.
The new Lightspeed Edge holder is designed and developed to provide a greater angle of attack through an increase of 3mm in overall height. The player benefit is sharper, tighter turns due to having a greater ability to get lower in the turn without “bottoming out. It also features an innovative trigger system, that allows the player to change his steel in a matter of seconds without missing a shift or any playing time.
Moisture wicking and abrasion- resistant with integrated comfort wrap. The Total Edge Comfort minimizes wear and tear around the top of the ankle. The X-rib design provides structural support and stability throughout the boot, allowing for faster acceleration and quicker turns. The angle of the boot is cut aggressive to allow greater forward flex.
