STREET TEA VENDING CART Design Brief: To redesign a street tea vending cart which would enhance the tea drinking experience of the customers.


INDIAN STREET TEA CULTURE Design Brief: To redesign a street tea stall which would enhance the tea drinking experience of the customers. It should communicate hygiene visually. It should have drinking water facility.

Final concept -

Display unit for the packed snacks to protect it from dust and pests.

Storage space for goods and LPG GAS cylinder. Use of perforated sheet for the ventilation in case of gas leakage.

Wheels for mobility Material used- Stainless Steel (easily cleaned and gives a hygienic look)

GRINDER Design Brief: To design a grinding tool / equipment having the working of metate and mano.


TECHNICALLY COMPLEX PRODUCT

DESIGN PROJECT

Design Brief: To design a grinding tool / equipment having the working of metate and mano. The design should reduce human efforts as compared to the existing operation. The tool should be manually operated. It should grind minimum quantity of 350 gm in a single use. Time required should be 20-25 min. TASK FLOW ingredients

Areas of concern The metate and mano are very heavy (approx. 50 kg) hence, difficult to handle.

The time required to grind 350 gm of the masala is 30-45 min, thus long working hours with heavy mano causes discomfort and pain.

Although there is a wide variety of grinders available, metate and mano are widely used in the rural areas. This is due to the peculiar flavor which adds taste to the cooking.

Granite stone is used , which has the property of forming strong frame, as its crystals grow into each other.

Rotation

Assembly of the grinder.

The rotation of the blade against the rough stone surface causes grinding of ingredients. The power ON LED indicator.
