SFX: HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MARGI’S COMPUTER Margi’s computer shows she’s logged into the library’s preschool toy box page opened to an Erector Set. DEEP DISH CHEESECAKE Margi is wearing a hard hat, tool belt, and orange safety vest, directing a robot and toy crane with a walkie-talkie. The toy crane’s boom lowers its claws for the deep dish cheesecake and misses. Steve opens the gift card and reads it aloud. STEVE (feigning Welles’s voice) Dear Sir, Libraries are a place of deep understanding of anything you enjoy. Please see the children deeply enjoy these at Story Hour. MARGI (growls) The crane claws the box. STEVE But not until then, of course. MARGI (whines)

Mortimer holds an obviously empty, crumpled, bag of cheese puffs. SILVER SERVING BOWL The DUMBWAITER is placing a silver serving bowl of cheese puffs in front of BIG MIKE in the terrarium. STARS CIRCLING MORTIMER’S HEAD MORTIMER I didn’t eat‘em, boss! Mayor Bart grabs Mortimer. BIG MIKE’S PSYCHO EYE SFX: BOW AND ARROW FIRING Mortimer goes flying straight to flat screen. SFX: BOWLING BALL STRIKE BACK TO LIVE ACTION STUDIO (NOTE: Steve wears a woolly bulldog costume, Margi wears a woolly poodle costume.) Margi inspects at a wooden mouse trap in front of the gift box. AURL - TIMOTHY’S LAB - CONTINUOUS (NOTE: Paul shows on Timothy’s myPad screen, thumbing Mary’s myPod.) Timothy and Alpha are in front of the wall flat screen watching DNA markers scroll across the screen. Roger rolls up on his Big Slide wearing a doctor’s lab coat and hands Timothy a medical chart. MEDICAL CHART A glob of grape jelly sticks to the chart above a grape icon. TIMOTHY You spilled jelly on it! Alpha smirks. ROGER On purpose! It matches! (pulling out a nuk from his pocket) I used this to not contaminate the specimen. Whoever spilled the jelly was scared! MARY’S IPOD PAUL She has the perfect toys!

Alpha puts on his handlebar mustache. TIMOTHY Upload the sample data quickly. It’s only a half day. PAUL What grade is she in, Timothy? Will she be able to vote for me next year? SFX: MOTORCYCLE ENGINE STARTING Roger runs past carrying his medical bag and lunch box. He loads them in the sidecar and Alpha backs the space motorcycle into the Time Travel Tube. TIMOTHY Third. I’m telling you, if it’s lunar, you can make it back. Do not go to Mars! It’s a false signal! Roger, Alpha, and Timothy trades salutes. SFX: MOTORCYCLE ENGINE ROARING SFX: WHOOSH ZOOM Alpha, Roger, and the space motorcycle dematerialize. The Time Tube control panel reads “1938 NEW JERSEY” “SECURITY PENDING”. PAUL Third grade? She might be able to vote for me! SFX: ALARM SIREN The control panel display flashes “SECURITY FAILED!”

INT. AURL - GURDEEP’S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS (NOTE: MRS. FAEBER shows holding a broom in her kitchen on Gurdeep’s computer screen.) GURDEEP’S FRANTIC EYES Three lab security robots are glaring menacingly at Gurdeep. MRS. FAEBER There was jelly spilled all over, Gurpy! SFX: WHOOSH ZOOM SFX: MOTORCYCLE ENGINE IDLING Alpha, Roger, and the space motorcycle materialize. SECURITY RAY GUNS Three lab security robots are training their aim at a toy mouse being placed into a medical evidence bag by Roger in his sidecar. He jumps out causing the security robots to hide behind Gurdeep. ROGER Hi, Dad! Hi, grandma! The bus is almost here. MRS. FAEBER I want a DNA analysis, Gurpy! On the mouse. And on the jelly! GURDEEP (whines)

ROGER I all ready did, grandma. Can I stay after school, dad? I think the Cadettes are in trouble. SFX: MOTORCYCLE ENGINE STARTING Roger salutes Alpha, runs to the motorcycle sidecar. Alpha hands him a medics helmet. ROGER (CONT’D) I’ll send the results when they’re in, grandma. SFX: MOTORCYCLE ENGINE ROARING SFX: WHOOSH ZOOM Alpha, Roger, and the space motorcycle dematerialize. GURDEEP’S DISTRESSED EYES MRS. FAEBER (warning) My grandchildren always do their homework! BACK TO TIMOTHY’S LAB Timothy enters data in his computer. TIMOTHY Great? Now we have to save dad, too!

STEVE’S DRIVE-IN - CONTINUOUS (NOTE: Steve and Margi are wearing woolly mouse costumes.) Steve jams jazz on the piano. Margi arrives waving her memory sticks. INT. STEVE’S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS MUSIC: ALA - “MISSION IMPOSSIBLE” Steve leads Margi through security. SFX: BEEP BEEP STEVE We’re clear. Margi inserts her first memory stick into Steve’s computer: revealing her UNN footage of Dare holding open a barn door with a broom in her hand, pointing a mouse to the door. STEVE (CONT’D) She likes us! MARGI Cadettes like all animals! Margi swaps memory sticks in Steve’s computer: revealing her UNN footage of Alpha, Roger, and the space motorcycle, in front of a roadside sign that reads: “MOON”. STEVE Why the moon, Margi???

Margi swaps her last memory stick: showing the jalopy limo pulling into Tony’s Drive-Thru. STEVE All you can eat, Margi? What’s wrong with that? MARGI What would you rather have? Stale cheese puffs or fresh real deep dish cheesecake? It’s like the difference between being allowed to go to the library and not being allowed to!!! EXT. AURL - TIMOTHY’S LAB - DAY (NOTE: A live feed of Alpha cruising down the Intergalactic Freeway, with his tape-on handlebar mustache flapping, shows on the lab wall flat screen.) DEEP SPACE - CONTINUOUS Roger is pointing an ultraviolet light sensor out the front of the sidecar as Alpha exits at a highway sign reading “1938 TRENTON”. EXT. The WTRN building shows on the flat screen. PAUL (CONT’D) When are we going to do our homework, Timothy??? TIMOTHY This is our homework! PAUL (whining) You said it was genetic??? TIMOTHY It is! They thought they were being invaded by Martians! INT. WTRN STUDIO - CONTINUOUS ORSON, a stocky man with a beard (obviously ORSON WELLES), sits at a desk with a microphone, reading his radio play onair. INT. LIBRARY - DAY - LIVE STUDIO (NOTE: Steve wears a woolly bulldog costume, Margi wears a woolly poodle costume.) MUSIC: ALA - “THEME FROM RAT PATROL” Steve is wiping book returns in his computer. MARGI’S COMPUTER Margi’s computer screen reveals the library preschool toy box open to an army board game. GIFT BOX Margi and her desk are under camouflage netting in front of the gift box. JALOPY LIMO - CONTINUOUS MUSIC: DISCO - ALA - BEE GEES “JIVE TALKING” BIG MIKE’S PSYCHO EYE Big Mike is disco dancing with the Dumbwaiter robot, attempting to deftly, coolly, catch cheese puffs.
