“In the New Testament love of Jesus and love of learning were strands of a single cloth,” Leonard Sweet
Leading and learning go together. If we are to lead well then learning must be high on our priority list. This conference offers an opportunity for those who want to develop their leadership by learning from practitioners who have grappled with some of the tough issues and proved that they work at the coalface of leadership.
At The Journey Leadership Conference we are committed to learning together in order to be better equipped, envisioned and energised as leaders. Learning is always enhanced when we do it in community which is why we encourage leaders to come with friends and teams who can discuss, dissect and maybe even (respectfully) disagree with each other.

your host for The Journey has been the Senior Pastor of Cambridge Community Church (C3) since 1994 when he moved to Cambridge after having previously led a church in the North West of England.
was born in Lancashire in the North West of England in 1946. Converted at Capernwray Hall in his late teens, he took a degree in Physics before attending London Bible College and completing a Theology degree in 1972.
and his wife Sophia are the Senior Pastors of !Audacious City Church in Manchester, England. He is also the director of Audacious, a youth revolution that is changing youth culture through it’s music, conference, mission and media. Glyn is also the director of Youth Alive UK.
Steve, alongside his wife Angie, has pioneered a number of initiatives including Cambridge Academy of Worship and Music, Breathe Women’s Conference, The Cambridge School of Theology and The Journey Network each of which exist to strengthen and build the local church. The Journey conference has been born out of the desire to see all leaders reaching their full potential and take their true place in the church and world.
In 2001 he became the principle of Capernway Bible College. He preaches extensively throughout Europe in churches, Bible schools and conferences. More recently his travels have taken him on numerous occasions to Australia, Canada and the U.S.A. He and his wife Barbara have two children, Zoe and Abi. He is an ardent supporter of a little known football team based at Old Trafford!
He and Sophia have two children, Georgia and Jaedon. As far as passions go - Glyn is fanatical about Manchester City Football Club. He also loves golf, his family and did we mention Manchester City Football Club?
We will be providing you with all meals and refreshments throughout the conference. All diets can be catered for provided we are notified of your requirements in advance.
