Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My first drawing. First on left, odd shading, disproportionate, hairy lines. Second and third, hairy lines, better proportion. Use of crates helped in process.
My Second drawing. Curve on bottom needed to be exaggerated more. Slight improvement on the hairy lines, however, still existent. Proportions Okay...
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My third drawing. Horrible. Too small, unfinished, disproportionate, base not curved enough. Bad crate use.
My fourth drawing. The top was too short. Improvement on hairy lines. Curve still not exaggerated enough. Better crate use.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My fifth drawing. The first one, (right) had hairy lines, was not curved enough on the base. Good crate use though. Second one (left), much less hairy lines, vast improvement on base curve. Some small line errors.
My sixth drawing. Started drawing two objects at a time. first one, (right), had a few hairy lines around the part where the bottle gets fat. Good object placement. Second one, (left), very few hairy lines, but curve could be more exaggerated.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My seventh drawing. Almost no hairy lines. Tea pot handle had massive error. Good object placement, but the bottle looks awkward because it is cut off. good proportions. Base curves improving.
My eighth drawing. Bad proportions because i had less time. Hard angle to draw from. Almost no hairy lines.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My ninth drawing. Bad time management. Crates are hairy, thus distracting the eye. bad abject placement, no hairy lines. Objects look blank and incomplete.
My tenth drawing. Some lines that are supposed to be straight are curved. Very good hand, paint brush, and swan. Bottle slightly curved. No hairy lines.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My eleventh drawing. The paint roller looks out of place. good dummy and coffee pot. No horizon line. Good use of crates.
My twelfth drawing. Started using charcoal. Proportions good, the fruit in the front looks see-though. The dark areas needed more shading. Shadows non-existent.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My thirteenth drawing. Bad proportions. Teacher showed be black and white photo of the objects i was drawing, so contrast and shading was a bit better. Lines hairy again, and some objects are not fully shaded.
My fourteenth drawing. Glass texture successfully portrayed. Bottle disproportionate. Apple looks like a blob. base curves better. Shadows could be added. Very few hairy lines.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My fifteenth drawing. Taking a break from charcoal. a generally boring drawing, because most objects are circular. NO hairy lines at all, and mostly good proportions.
My 16th and 17th drawings. Started using marker. Drawings rushed, bad lines, see through trees, out of proportion, both are disasters.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My eighteenth drawing. same as before, bad lines, just plain horrible.
My first home base drawing. No hairy lines. No horizon line. generally boring drawing. Boring objects. Bottle disproportionate.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My second home base drawing. Slightly more interesting objects. Still no horizon line/ table line. Bottle slightly slanted. Very few hairy lines.
My third home base drawing. Tried out black pastel. Good shading, more interesting objects. The counter is slightly slanted. Some objects slightly tilted. Overall a good drawing.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My fourth home base drawing. Done in pencil. Good shading, could have used a darker pencil. Some lines are slanted when they shouldn始t be. Successfully portrayed texture of the vase and plant. I shouldn't have used a mechanical pencil.
My fifth home base drawing. Done in marker. Good proportions. Lines are very clear. The desk looks like its floating on one side, and the wall behind it is blank. The shell and book both look realistic, but the people in the picture frame look like aliens. Chair was nicely done. Not boring at all.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My sixth home base drawing. Good flowers. Texture could have been more interesting. The street behind the flowers looks blank and rushed. I used my alarm clock to limit myself to twenty minutes, so managing my time was difficult. I spent too much time on the flowers.
My seventh home base drawing. Followed a summer theme. Some objects are not in proportion. Good flipflops, clean lines.
Grade 9 IGCSE topic 1: Observational drawings My final project. Done with oil pastels. Started adding color to major objects.
Almost finished. All of the objects have more color, and the drawing is eye catching.
