FAQS

Q: When are the event opening and closing times? A: The Parade will start from Ryde School at 12am. The Pride site will be open from around 11.00am the event will end promptly at 10pm and the site must be cleared by 10.30pm.

Q: Can I bring anything onto the site with me? A: Small bags and bottles of water are allowed, but please remember the usual security guidelines when bringing a bag on site. No glass bottles, no alcohol, no drugs and definitely no weapons. We only welcome love on this site! xx Q. Will there be queues to get on/off site?

The last readmission will be at 6.30pm

A: We are working closely with all security services, in the light of the currents threat levels to ensure everyone’s safety. Please try and avoid bringing bags as this can slow down the entrance process. Please bare with us and be patient as you enter the site.

A: Check out our Lineup page in this guide for the approx stage times and running orders for the main stage, Dance Area, Community Stage and The London Hotel Cabaret Tent

A: There are free cash machines located at Ryde Esplanade Train station. Next to the bus station and also the Sainsbury's on Union Street, Halfway up the hill on the left hand side. This is a little bit of a walk so bear this in mind when withdrawing cash to come onto site.

Q: Where are the toilets located? A: There are various toilets located throughout the Pride Site including disabled toilets, a mobiloo and various toilets in the venues around the pride site, please speak to one of our fantastic volunteers and our friendly Security staff. Q: Where is the Medical Area located? A: If you're feeling unwell or have hurt yourself, speak to the nearest volunteer or member of the medical support team, you can also head to the medical tent located the green zone (grass area Nr the beach) where you will be very well looked after. Q: Is there a Lost Property area? A: If you have lost a personal item speak to one of our volunteers who will point you to the Aspire welfare tent , here you can leave your details and you will be contacted should the item be handed in. If you have found an item please hand to your nearest volunteer who will record this for you. Q: Are we allowed to film the event? A: Most definitely! Use your phone on your camera and share your memories with us by using the hashtag #IOWnMyDestiny. Or Tweet/Instagram @iwpride and share on Facebook /iwpride. Q: Do you have to pay to get into the bars on site? A: The only bars which are chargeable are the VIP bars. The Pride VIP bar which you will need to book in advance and have a wristband to enter. This has SOLD OUT . The Balcony have a VIP bar with an entrance fee of £5. All other bars are free to access if you are an Adult with an Adult wrist band.

ACCESSIBILITY Q: Are there any provisions for wheelchair access? A: There are many provisions which have been made around the site which include beach track matting, disabled toilets and a mobiloo. We want you to feel as welcome as included as possible and have an amazing day, please speak to a volunteer if there is anything we can do to help. If you are attending the Pride village and Arena you can access the site via the accessible entrance located by the Wave 105 Dance area. Q: Will there be an accessible viewing area and where will it be located? A: The Accessible Viewing area is located in the Main Stage Arena. The Accessible Viewing area will have limited capacities and are provided on a first-come- first served bases. Once capacities are reached, access will be provided on a 1 in 1 out basis. As with all visitors, if there is a certain act or artist you would like to see, please arrive early enough before each performance time to avoid disappointment. Q: Do you have BSL interpreters at the event? A: We are proud to say that we have a number of BSL interpreters on site and they can be identified by their BSL T-Shirts. There will be a BSL interpreter on the Main Stage at all times as well as interpreters at the WI Spoken word tent and Community Stage. Q: How do I make a complaint? A: We really want you to have the best day ever, however if your day hasn’t gone to plan and you want to make a complaint during IWPride, simply find a member of staff or security. Or You can use your electronic devises to email info@iwpride.org and we will try and resolve your issue as quickly as possible.
