The Arts & Music Scene At art gallery Chroma projects, which relocated to West Main Street earlier this year, you can see “Deep Sea Calculations: Carolyn Capps” through March 25. Harris Fine Art is also located in downtown Charlottesville and showcases over 20 different artists. Another unique local treasure of art is the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection of the University of Virginia. Originating in 1991 and with a full program of exhibits, lectures, research and education programs, the Kluge-Ruhe collection has a lot to offer the visitor who’s interested in indigenous artwork. You can see works from the Kluge-Ruhe Collection at the Pantops, Charlottesville location and at the University of Virginia. Through May 21, you can experience “Janet Fieldhouse: Body Ornaments” at Kluge-Ruhe. A visit to the studio, gallery and printmaking workshop of landscape artist Frederick Nichols is just a short drive north of Barboursville. Visit The Nichols Gallery Annex to see the work of Virginia artists. On the way, stop at Contemporary Art gallery Les Yeux du Monde just off Route 20. From March 31-May 7, you can see “Janet Bruce: New Paintings,” and later in the spring “Peter Skinner: New Paintings,” both at Les Yeux du Monde. Check out P.
